Good explanation of net neutrality and why it affects you.

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

"Internet service providers may not necessarily generate much content of their own, but they may decide what content they will transmit,"

Crackpot judge kavanaugh

It's their corporate 1st amendment right
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”

So this morning, Donald Trump decided to Google his name and found a bunch of negative news articles, then goes on to say that he's going to have someone investigate this "unfairness"

What happened to the argument that the government should stay away and allow the invisible hand of the free market to work it's magic?

What kind of POTUS has the time for or interest in ego-surfing?

Edit 3:22 pm  : I'll leave this up since it gets the general idea across, but it is Yahoo!'s "goodsearch" search engine rather than the Google that he whined about. Now, the Google 1st page is almost all articles about his Google whining.

 “Trump News”

Not as negative for him as I thought it would be, Page 1:

A bunch of bio, news aggregator and other neutral sites.
"Trump administration 'taking a look' at whether Google searches should be regulated" - true, first news story, :D .
"Trump’s NAFTA Strategy: Bluff, Rebrand, Declare Victory"
"Trump folds on flag" - true
"Trump shows strain from scandals, but no new political strategy"
"Trump contradicts Cohen: 'Hush money payments came from me' – as it happened" - true

Page 2:

A lot more bio, news aggregator and other neutral sites.
"New York Daily News calls for Donald Trump to end his presidential campaign" (August 10, 2016)

Page 3:

Even more bio, news aggregator and other neutral sites.
"Sessions pushes back on Trump after 'disgraceful' insult" - true

Things like this are why he's our CiC, Crybaby in Chief.

Our president has taught us that real manly men show true strength of spirit not by stoically overcoming obstacles through persistence and sheer force of will, but instead by hopping on Twitter and whining about being treated unfairly.

It was a successful campaign strategy. The Crybaby in Chief knew that there are more perpetual victim, 'blame everybody else', wussy Americans than there are real manly men and real womanly women, at least as far as the Electoral College was concerned.

You've got that right.

It's easier to feel better about yourself when you have someone else to look down upon and hate and blame for your shortcomings than it is to stand firmly on your own two feet. The ability to self reflect, admit to faults, and subsequently work on improvements is key to being a functioning, mature, adult.

A disturbingly high number of people base their happiness upon someone else's misery. "Trump is making the liberals heads explode!" And so forth. If you're whole modus operandi is making someone else, or some perceived "other" suffer; if your happiness hinges on another groups of people feeling downtrodden or defeated, you have much growing up to do.

California OKs net-neutrality rules: Trump administration promptly sues

California will attempt to go it alone in regulating internet access after Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill Sunday to restore Obama-era regulations barring the telecommunications industry from favoring certain websites.

First, however, it will have to prevail in a legal fight with the Trump administration’s Justice Department, which sued to block California from installing its own rules minutes after Brown signed the bill....
