Sounds good in theory, but the US has not established diplomatic relations with North Korea, and has continued to play the role of lead antagonist, giving only sanctions and, of course, Dennis Rodman. US diplomacy so far has been in the form of threats, offering nothing to North Korea.

I'd sign a petition that said, "watch them closely, but leave them the fuck alone and don't take the Trumpian bluster of a half-crazy dictator to always have significant impact."

I define diplomacy broadly - most things other than war, including unofficial (maybe not Dennis Rodman) and back door diplomatic contacts, involvement of regional and global players, bribes, at times sanctions, etc. I did then sign a petition to Trump that is closer to your wording, but it was one of those that I couldn't link without it containing my personal info.

It's shameful that pipsqueak Kim got the President of the mighty and once respected United States to travel all of the way to the site of his 1960s shame for NOTHING. This is exactly why POTUSes that aren't idiots and rank amateurs work out all or most of a deal, especially with a lesser country, BEFORE they fly to another hemisphere to completely humiliate themselves and America.
