Weather in NC

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Didn't see a florida weather thread

Damn I do love a tropical storm. Just siitting on the wet porch in a wet wind and loving it.

Suppose to stop raining on friday with 8 to 10 inches expected
Could theoretically be another deployment for me, though probably not without the hurricane winds and storm surge. I like this site for watching storms remotely:

Tropical Storm Cindy

Downpours Sweep into Southeast Ahead of Tropical Storm Cindy

I like WU. You can take any zip code and any date and check weather details.

Bret may be a big one. Cindy is rain only.

WU doesn't think so.

Bret seems to be merging with Cindy. Will repugs be offended?

Still here. It's pouring. Everything is wet and closed spaces are starting to stink.

Dog ain't going out until it's over. He shuts down when it rains - nothing in, nothing out, no problem.

I had a dog like that - hated getting out in the rain. Went tippy-toeing through puddles if she had to. I'd feel sorry for her for not getting out, and would open the door. She'd stand there, looking out, then head back inside. Eventually I'd have to go out with her if I wanted her to go.

NC weather is in the rear-view mirror. Couple more days in Charleston and I'll also join billy.p in complaining if I have to wear long sleeve shirts. High today in Naples is 80 - low of 61.

4+ inches of snow so far, wasn't really predicted, still falling heavily, it's beautiful.

Cold drizzle since last night and to top it off, a plumbing leak in the living room wall. Been a fun day so far.

It's deceptively slick too, had fun getting home.

Billy has snow in his forecast. We in Gainesville just freeze warnings. Damn my wife hasn't seen snow yet.

It may snow in Pensacola, but doubtful along the coast where I am. Here it's just freezing rain.

The good news is that the bridges are expected to freeze over and caution dictates that the 3.5 mile bay bridge between me and trump will encourage me not to make a scene.

First power outage here from snow in 27 years!

Was thinking about headed up to WNC for a hike tomorrow. Is this a bad idea? Thought it'd be pretty rad to hike in the snow at Pisgah.
