A Trump supporter....

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Hey, y'all, I'm trying to be a better person.

Imagine, if you will, the employer who is let off the hook, who no longer has to carry low cost health insurance for employees. She's thrilled (and maybe she even gets to bypass the garbage service with her burn barrel). Imagine her employees, the working poor, who are now SOL.

Yes, I feel for the little guy, no matter his candidate of choice, because he was duped.
Then again, he was duped by the Wall and the war on Muslims, so I take satisfaction in his misery and his long wait in the ER when he has a sinus infection, then being turned into collections because he's not indigent.

That's part of what makes me so crazy, wavering between "serves them right" and hoping they'll find enlightenment before it's too late.

I can sympathize/empathize/get along with people who have different political views from mine. Pick most any issue and despite my voluntary sheltered life I probably know somebody who is on the other side. I can even understand why a person might wave a big Trump-vote middle finger at the damgummint. I can understand why a low-education or poorly traveled person might think building a wall along the border might help immigration problems. Several years ago I suggested it would be a good idea not to let in anybody coming from a country ending in "stan." (not seriously, and certainly with no expectation in my wildest imagination that anything close would happen, but still...)

But I have no understanding nor sympathy for anybody who has experience Trump-world in the past 6 months and still supports him. Even if you liked what he said he'd do, he's lousy at getting anything done. Blame the minority opposition party or the Bush-appointed judges if you like, but it's still not happening. And he constantly steps on his own tail, creating many more problems for himself than others do to him. And even if you don't care what other countries think, he's still mucking up any routes to accomplish anything, no matter what it is.

So as far as I'm concerned, anybody still supporting Trump is not somebody who could be approached, accepted, compromised with, or otherwise allowed to breed. They can all go choke on their own stupidity for all I care.

The line between victim and enemy is a little fuzzy to me, as with pity and disgust. Then, what's the strategy to make things better? I tend towards resistance and confrontation, but I could be wrong.

I tend to agree with you.

Maybe like this: you're a victim if you voted for him because you believed him or thought he was the "lesser evil." You're an enemy if you still support him now.

If I were a Republican (arrrrgh! urp!) I might have voted for him because even if I were a Republican, I wouldn't be one to follow the hard right loons, and even I (for real) thought for a while that most of his campaign antics were part of his act and in the unlikely event he was elected, he'd be tamed by the office. Wrong. Or if Trump had been a Dem, I might have voted for him to avoid getting a Cruz or somebody equally crazy, and even said that in the unlikely event he got elected, he probably would do less harm than Cruz, etc. Wrong again. So yeah, I understand people being victimized. I don't understand anybody even semi-literate sticking with him.

Every mass murder over the past 100 years has been a registered Democrat. You know it's true because Cruz said so.

Had to crop this one.

Islamic Muslims are the worst. Way scarier than Christian Muslims, or Jewish Muslims.

I hate Islamic Muslims the most, almost as much as Jesus Christians. Some Jewish Hebrews aren't bad, though.

I googled a phrase from the first sentence and found that it was on a bunch of sites. The one I used just looked like an image site, not the creator, and didn't offer a source. It's significant that the creator didn't have the balls to ID her/him/itself as is usually done on such posters.

Most residents at The Home, including my mother-in-law, don't even know who is president. I was a little surprised by all the Trump tees and caps worn by guests at the 4th picnic. Guess they don't realize their parents are at risk, or they don't care.

It would be better with a mosh pit.
I love the diversity of the musicians and the choir.
Un fucking believable. Not 'God Bless America' nor the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ or even perhaps ‘America the Beautiful’. Instead, this douche bag makes this day all about his fucking ego! And from the looks of the choir they should've changed the title to 'Lets Make America White Again'. Please let this nightmare end! And all you people who voted for this tool and fell for all the bullshit he shoved down your throats, you're all a bunch of idiots and you're too stupid to even admit how much of a idiot he truly is.
I feel so sorry for SANE people on the right (there are still a few, right?). The right said we WORSHIPPED our "messiah" Obama, yet we NEVER had a church choir sing about him. What a bunch of blasphemous idiots the "Christian" right has become. President Puzzy Grab has been sent by God to save America?!?!? REALLY? You poor IDIOTS.
Yeah! No more shredded cheese! Make America grate again!
Oh, good god! This is possibly the most puke-inducing thing I've ever seen...
The real title of this song should be "You will envy the deaf"
This is a joke, right?
What a shit song.
This is basically Exhibit A for the type of commentary produced by the low IQ low info left wing crowd.
By pretty much any measure it really is a shit song.
Sounds like something that you would hear in North Korea or Russia.
Surely this is parody
OMG, After hearing this tune, tears welled up in my eyes. I love the choir so much, I want to grab them by the pussy!!!!

Trump's whole spiel was branding. He's essentially created a product to sell to his supporters and they're eating it up wholesale.

President Trump tweeted video clip of a choral symphonic rendition of his campaign slogan “Make America Great Again.”

The video was captured at a recent performance for President Trump at the Kennedy Center and was set in front of American flag in case anyone didn't get the lyrics.
JFK called, he wants his name back.

The "Make America Great Again" Song, with Improved Lyrics

Make America great again,

Make America great again.

Kick that infant tyrant out the White House door.

Save our great Republic, let the eagle soar!

Make America great again.

Yes, make America great again.

. . . . .

From each and every state

Let us join and conquer hate.

Let's restore our freedom. Pray it's not too late!

Putin put him in there. It's worse than Watergate.

Make America great again.

Yes, make America great again.

. . . . .

Make America great again,

Make America great again.

He's an aberration, his antics are bizarre.

He'll destroy our country, he's not who we are.

Make America great again.

Yes, make America great again.

. . . . .

Make America great again.

Make America great again.

Time to talk impeachment: if not now then when?

Time to make our nation decent once again.

Make America great again.

Yes, make America great again.

Pussy Riot - Make America Great Again Lyrics

What do you want your world to look like?
What do you want it to be?
Do you know that a wall has two sides?
And nobody is free?
Did your mama come from Mexico
Papa come from Palestine
Sneaking all through Syria
Crossing all the border lines

Let other people in
Listen to your women
Stop killing black children
Make America Great Again
Could you imagine a politician
Calling a woman a dog?
Do you wanna stay in the kitchen?
Is that where you belong?
How do you picture the perfect leader
Who do you want him to be
Has he promoted the use of torture and killing families

Let other people in
Listen to your women
Stop killing black children
Make America Great Again
