President* Trump

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

I only know of two other people who leave out the space after a sentence. Jknowgood and FriendoFred always left out the space. Since we all know who FriendoFred was, do you think that Rudy was jknowgood?
I usually catch it in proofreading, but my space bar is not as sensitive as it should be and I often lose a space. If I was posting from a phone there would be lots more typos and I would miss a lot more of them on proofreading.

The bigger issue with Rudy is that he's blaming Twitter rather than just laughing at himself.
He did it again

#REALNEWS: Woodward says no evidence of (collusion.so) https://t.co/TZAyo1B7QP does Manafort’s team. Mueller can investigate endlessly and he will find no evidence. The only conspiracy, using criminal means, is the campaign to stop and then remove President Trump.

Not sure why collusion.so changed to the link when I copied it

https://www.yahoo.com/news/tillerson-sa ... 22911.html

“Often, the president would say, ‘Here’s what I want to do and here’s how I want to do it. And I would have to say to him, ‘Mr. President, I understand what you want to do but you can’t do it that way. It violates the law.

“We can go back to Congress and get this law changed. And if that’s what you want to do, there’s nothing wrong with that.

“I told him, ‘I’m ready to go up there and fight the fight, if that’s what you want to do.’

“What was challenging for me coming from the disciplined, highly process-oriented ExxonMobil corporation [was] to go to work for a man who is pretty undisciplined, doesn’t like to read, doesn’t read briefing reports, doesn’t like to get into the details of a lot of things, but rather just kind of says, ’This is what I believe.’”

-- Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson

“Mike Pompeo is doing a great job, I am very proud of him. His predecessor, Rex Tillerson, didn’t have the mental capacity needed. He was dumb as a rock and I couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. He was lazy as hell. Now it is a whole new ballgame, great spirit at State!”
-- POSPOTUS

If you knew nothing else about these men, who would you guess is "dumb as a rock ... lazy" from this exchange?

As everyone here knows, I was not happy with Hillary's nomination, but do you really still think that she would have been a worse POTUS than Dolt .45?

She absolutely would not have been as awful. She probably wouldn't get much done because McConnell and Ryan would both have set their top goal to keep her from it. On the other hand, she could veto much of Congress' worst attempts. So while nothing much gets done, at least not much gets destroyed. She would have put up Cabinet members with reasonable experience. She would have put up Supreme Court nominees like Garland, and McConnell probably (hopefully) couldn't stall for an entire administration.

But, she'd remain hated by the haters and possibly booted in 2020, giving the Republicans continued control over districting and resultant gerrymander. If she started with the same Congress Trump got, she'd not have been able to turn it in 2018. We all might have been worse off in the long run.

Not to mention the multiple congressional witch hunt investigations she'd be going through. She'd basically be unable to govern, but we'd still be in Paris, the Iran agreement etc.

I don't think she would have been worse, but I also don't think she would have been any better.
Looking back at the candidates that were eliminated, again, a good choice for a POTUS would be a difficult decision. I'm surprised Hillary made it as far as she did, but I still think she got the nod in the same manner Obama did; the novelty of her being the first woman president. OTOH, had she defeated Clump, she may have been able to prove herself as Obama did and win a re-election.

I figured bot, just like all of our other hit and run posters. Did someone PM Leo Lyons about Danaity being "somebody else" or is he just being "paranoid ... because somebody's got (him) all spooked"?

Are Pakistan ISP bots common here? We've usually seen eastern Europe.

My first inclination is to say not as common as other countries. I'd say Russia and China are the largest hitters. There's a sprinkling of everything.
