I doubt that Bernie! will run again and Warren may also be too old, but the Dems do need a version of them, socialist or not, that has dramatic vision and unwavering principles that will inspire people.

Bannon is pretty used to white gowns and hoods.

Sheriff David Clarke denies plagiarism, calls reporter a 'sleaze bag'

“Kaczynski on Sunday retweeted Clarke, and said that the sheriff had not addressed the issues raised in the story."
Whine, deflect and call names, it's the Trumpish way.

"The Department of Homeland Security has not confirmed Clarke's appointment as assistant secretary."
Less likely now, if Clarke was smarter, he would know to wait until it’s in writing.
Milwaukee County sheriff not joining DHS, after all

Donald Trump comes clean, admits he doesn’t have tapes

So, given that the trumphole is a pathological, habitual, compulsive liar, we have to wonder:

Was he lying when he alluded to tapes to begin with?
Is he lying now, when he says he actually has no tapes (most likely because they support Comey's comments)?
Is he somehow lying about both?

The most improbable scenario- to me, anyway- is that he has made a simple public admission that he has been caught in yet another lie. That is not and never has been his habit. Never.
I will not lie down.
I will not go quietly.

Never ending question with Trump - was he lying then; is he lying now; are both times lies... easy answer though - "of course."

But we don't have to give free money to illegals, or we soon wont, or we past wont, or something

It was good to hear that he plans to put a stop to all these illegals on welfare - sometime in the near future, or at sometime in the past - it makes little difference which, just the fact that Trump did it is all that counts.

Gee golly I wish I could have been in Iowa to hear his brave words declaring truth to his time travel skills.

He said, "I believe the time has come for new immigration rules which say those seeking admission into our country must be able to support themselves financially and should not use welfare for a period of at least five years,"
and the trumpets all sounded their applause - if only my clapping could have added to the thunderous clamor when he went on to say that he would pass this
pass legislation, "very soon" in 1996.

Can you imagine - this brave man time traveled to 1996 and used his powers to force Bill Clinton to sign this into law.

Vote trump 1992 in 2020. Make time travel real again

He hasn't said that the tapes don't exist. He's only tweeted that he "did not make, and do not have, any such recordings."

Of course if the tapes do exist, they'd have been made by staff and would be in the possession of staff, not Trump. His tweets cover that possibility. The tapes can continue to exist or not exist depending on what serves him best.

He gave some contorted explanation that included that obama might have done it.

People don't make recordings, recording devices do.

Another possibility - There were recordings, but they were bad for President* Trump in specific or wiser people told him what a bad idea it is in general and they've now been deleted.

Trump said that his reference to the possible existence of tapes in a tweet may have caused Comey to alter his recounting of what happened.

“When he found out that I -- you know, that there may be tapes out there, whether it’s governmental tapes or anything else and who knows, I think his story may have changed,” Trump said. “Then he has to tell what actually took place at the events.”

That explanation is likely to do little to end the controversy. Lawyers with experience in similar cases say his behavior may be important to special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, which is now exploring the possibility that Trump sought to obstruct justice.

"Witness tampering" is the act of attempting to alter or prevent the testimony of witnesses within criminal or civil proceedings. Laws regarding witness tampering also apply to proceedings before the U.S. Congress, executive departments, and administrative agencies. To be charged with witness tampering in the United States, the attempt to alter or prevent testimony is sufficient. There is no requirement that the intended obstruction of justice be completed.

He's so paranoid and narcissistic, I'm betting on recordings of Comey and many others.
Here's the question- who plays the role of Rosemary Woods? Kellyanne? She'd do whatever he wanted.
Spicer? He's an ass kissing idiot.
Brannon? He'd likely retain a copy for his own nefarious reasons.
Ivanka? Daddy's little girl.
Se Non Ora, Quando?

With cameras banned, CNN sends sketch artist to White House briefing
Some conservative media voices dismissed it as a stunt, but CNN argued that the sketch session did serve a journalistic purpose, in the same way that courtroom sketches do.

... Trump achieved something remarkable: He said something untrue, in public, every day for the first 40 days of his presidency. The streak didn’t end until March 1....

AP FACT CHECK: Trump misses whole story on hospital policy

Wow, President* Trump managed to exploit active duty and civvy healthcare workers, wounded vets and their families, and even religion with this whopper.

If it wouldn't be so embarrassing for the country and depressing, I could make big money publishing a book that just contains proven Trump lies. It might even have to be more than one volume. Watch, someone will do it soon. What would a good title be?
