Can't make this (stuff) up

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Alternate theory: 4chan posters and 3 million less than 50% of US voters are idiots.

When 4chan is involved, all bets are off.

Family of Deceased Man Pens Brutal Obituary, Writing His Death 'Proves That Evil Does in Fact Die'

The family of a Texas man who died penned a scathing obituary for the deceased 75 year old, writing what they called a brutally honest goodbye that they claimed he deserved.

Leslie Ray Charping died in January after losing his battle with cancer, leaving the earth “29 years longer than expected and much longer than he deserved,” read the obituary, which ran on the Carnes Funeral Home website.

“He leaves behind [two] relieved children; a son Leslie Roy Charping and daughter, Shiela Smith along with six grandchildren and countless other victims, including an ex-wife, relatives, friends, neighbors, doctors, nurses and random strangers,” the biting eulogy read.

The recounting of Charping’s life claimed he was an abusive parent, was mentally ill, abused drugs and alcohol, and served in the Navy “as part of a plea deal to escape sentencing on criminal charges.”

“… [H]e did not contribute to society or serve his community and he possessed no redeeming qualities besides quick whited[sic] sarcasm which was amusing during his sober days,” the obit said. “With Leslie's passing he will be missed only for what he never did; being a loving husband, father and good friend.”

No services would be held for the Galveston man, it continued, noting his remains would be cremated.

His remains would be “kept in the barn until ‘Ray,’ the family donkey’s wood shavings run out,” it said. “Leslie's passing proves that evil does in fact die and hopefully marks a time of healing and safety for all.” ...
Ouch. Congrats to the family.

Alabama, father and son, alcohol, 4:10 a.m., 2 pickups, no seatbelts - guess.
Spoiler:
Father, son killed in head-on collision with each other in Fayette County (AL)

A father and son were killed in a head-on collision with each other early Saturday morning in Fayette County.

Alabama state troopers say alcohol is a factor in the crash that killed Jeffrey Morris Brasher, 50, and Austin Blaine Brasher, 22. They both lived in Bankston.

The crash occurred at around 4:10 a.m. on Fayette County 49, one mile west of Winfield, when the 2006 Ford pickup the elder Brasher was driving collided with his son's 2004 Chevrolet pickup, according to troopers.

Neither Brasher was wearing a seatbelt.

Jeffrey Brasher was pronounced dead at the scene. Austin Brasher was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham where he died at 9:18 a.m.

Troopers continue to investigate the cause of the crash.

Sometimes it's the same thing. The religious people would say "God works in mysterious ways".
It would be interesting to see what the investigation turns up, if anything. Seems too much of a coincidence for both of them to just be out tootling around drunk at 4 in the morning and accidentally run into each other. I wouldn't be surprised if they were playing chicken. Here Honey - hold our beers.

Or one was mad at the other, or they wanted to see which is really better - Ford or Chevy. I'd go with Chevy since the son took longer to die. Dispute settled.

I once lived in a small redneck town where many people refused to wear a seat belt. Even those who had already taken the windshield taste test.

Etna was my first volcano, and we were privileged to witness eruptions while sipping on wine from the Sicilian grape, Nero D'Avola. I thought it was really cool how much the locals love her.

Note: Aetna is a she, daughter of the most ancient goddess, Gaia.

The drone's eye view is great. We couldn't get to the top because of gale force winds, sleet, and snow.
