Can't make this (stuff) up

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Reuters: Exclusive: U.S. consumer protection official puts Equifax probe on ice - sources

Mick Mulvaney, the former loan-shark lobbyist who killed plans to regulate payday lenders after being appointed chief of the Consumer Finance Protection Board, won't punish Equifax for setting up 145 million Americans - plus a large number of Canadians - for identity theft.

Apparently it's good enough that Equifax offered free credit monitoring for a year - in return for giving up any right to sue - despite the victims' information being available to thieves for the rest of their lives.

Monopoly Man Photobombs A Senate Hearing

Trump appointee Mick Mulvaney appeared before the Senate Banking Committee on Thursday to discuss his record as acting head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. But the star of the show was seated behind him.

Dressed as Monopoly board game mascot Rich Uncle Pennybags, Amanda Werner of the nonprofit Public Justice spent the two-hour hearing quietly mocking Mulvaney as a defender of the rich....

Since he was named to the top CFPB job in November, Mulvaney has not taken a single enforcement action against payday lenders, banks or any other financial firms. He has stalled the agency’s rule targeting abusive payday loans and put an investigation into themassive Equifax hack on ice. Mulvaney, who also serves as director of the Office of Management and Budget, is friendly with the financial industry and does not believe the CFPB should exist.

Earlier this week, Werner made an appearance at Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s Senate hearing dressed as a Russian troll....

Wells Fargo is America's largest, most criminal bank, whose scandal-haunted recent history includes opening 2,000,000 fraudulent accounts and then blackballing whistleblower employees, prompting senate investigation; stealing houses from borrowers through widespread foreclosure fraud; stealing cars from 25,000 customers and defrauding 800,000 more with a criminal auto-loan racket; gouging small business owners on credit-card fees; and scamming millions of mortgage borrowers by signing them up for useless, expensive "home insurance" that they didn't request and couldn't use.

To be fair to amazon, I think I looked at it on their site.

Kate Middleton accidentally wore a dress from 'Rosemary's Baby' for Prince Louis' debut
At least we hope it was an accident

When Kate Middleton appeared just hours after giving birth to Prince Louis Arthur Charles on Monday, April 23, in front of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's hospital while wearing a red Jenny Packham dress, people were quick to draw comparisons to the outfit Princess Diana wore after giving birth to Prince Harry in 1983.

Image

... But while everyone was comparing Kate Middleton to Princess Diana, they missed the fact that Kate Middleton's bespoke Jenny Packham frock is nearly a direct replica of a dress Rosemary Woodhouse wears in the 1968 horror film "Rosemary's Baby."
🤔🤔🤔🤔 Rosemary's baby......??🤔🤔🤔🤔

Image
Kate Middleton rocking the same dress as Rosemary from Rosemary's Baby is definitely not discomforting at all...
... Considering that Mia Farrow's character in the movie is impregnated with Satan's child by a coven of witches, some say the similarities are eerie and completely unsettling if you think about what it could possibly say about the newborn prince.

While obviously, the doppelganger dresses are just an uncanny and even unfortunate coincidence, one Twitter user couldn't help but hope that the dress choice was on purpose and reveals a dark side to Kate Middleton's sense of humor.
I am not an Opinion Haver on the subject of Kate Middleton but I fervently hope the Rosemary’s Baby frock was on purpose, and if it was she is AWESOME.
In fact, this isn't the first time the duchess of Cambridge has drawn comparisons to "Rosemary's Baby." At Princess Charlotte's 2015 christening, the mother of three pushed her daughter into the church in a retro-style pram that brought to mind the stroller on the iconic movie poster....

Top that, Meghan Markle.

"His body of work has demonstrated that regardless of the barrier or environment, ALL students can learn and achieve at high levels,” Rutgers said on its website in its description of Tramaglini. “He has over two-dozen publications in the form of articles, national and statewide conference papers/presentations, and a book chapter (in press). Tom’s work is aimed at contributing to research on how district and school leaders can set organizational conditions for successful student and community outcomes (e.g., assessment, tracking and detracking, curriculum design and development, and professional development).”

Fwiw, Holmdel Township, NJ is solidly GOP.

Great personnel hiring system they have.

Yahoo! article comments:
Suspect “Officer please let me go.”
Officer: "We already did.”
That's quite a track record.
He had the runs.
He should be "relieved" of his "dooties".
Wish I were that regular.
My coaches always told me to leave everything out on the field
He's the Superintendent of Stools".
When this goes to trial, I don’t want to heat the defense claiming it’s his first offense because it’s definitely #2.
I knew that superintendent was full of S _____
They're supposed to teach about 'vowels and consonants,' not 'bowels and continence.'
And so on . . .

I started watching a little fix for the humor, now it's more for shock. Same for the lnf forum, although sometimes i get a little addicted and waste too much time.

This seems worthy of sharing

"We knew it here in Tx. Had storms on first day of may as usual. Wonder why the Cinco may fest date is not changed. Some people were killed here may first a few years back caught put doors in a giant hail storm."
