The Religion Thread

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

You think there's something wrong with being a male nurse?

Wow. You're REALLY insecure.

And that's why you fit right in? Because you were stale and stupid?

I even won a small scholarship from the local American Association of University Women. Try harder, much harder.

Tired of these liberal PC snowflakes infiltrating the church. We need more preachers like this man:

You aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you are doing.

Look up "bully" and you might see this guy's picture.
I don't know how old they were when that occurred, but my 14-year old self would have kicked his ass into tomorrow.

I knew this truck driver in CA that was having it out on his CB radio with a man driving a car. He told the man "I'll stop this damn truck right now and beat the living shit out of you." The car driver came back and said "just because you drive that big ass truck and I drive a little four wheeler is no reason you should think you are man enough to whip my ass, but your welcome to pull it over asshole." Nice and quiet the rest of the ride.

Yep, that 14 year old self must have been one billy bad ass. :wtf:

Amid uproar, Southern Baptists condemn 'alt-right' movement

Southern Baptists on Wednesday formally condemned the political movement known as the "alt-right," in a national meeting that was thrown into turmoil after leaders initially refused to take up the issue.

The denomination's annual convention in Phoenix voted to "decry every form of racism, including alt-right white supremacy as antithetical to the Gospel of Jesus Christ" and "denounce and repudiate white supremacy and every form of racial and ethnic hatred as a scheme of the devil." ...

It's like these assholes have never heard of Christ, or willfully disregard everything He said.

Man destroys new Ten Commandments statue at Arkansas Capitol

... The privately funded Arkansas monument had been in place outside the state Capitol in Little Rock for less than 24 hours before it was knocked from its plinth and smashed to pieces....

I prefer letting the courts remove the Christian Sharia monument, which they would have, but I can understand the sentiment when the Arkansas Leg. is spitting on the Constitution and throwing away taxpayer money on a losing cause.

Comments:
They will have to make another commandment thou shall not run down the existing ten commandments.
This is Arkansas...are they sure he wasn't drunk...high on meth...or has chromosomal issues based on having only two grandparents.

They don't need no stinkin' courts. But the guy who hit it will undoubtedly need a good lawyer.

I'd pitch in for the replacement.... IF they don't stop at the first ten. The Bible didn't.

Yes, there was a pause because most people ran away, frightened by the trumpets and thunder that accompanied God's dictation. He continued dictating to Moses.

The next commandment dictates that any alter must be made from a pile of stones. NOT carved stone. "Do not build it with dressed stones, for you will defile it if you use a tool on it." The next forbids the alter to be raised so that you have to go up steps to approach it.

Do a Google image search on "Altar." That's a whole lot of carved stone altars on raised steps. Inconvenient.

Then the commandments get REALLY inconvenient. Rules on how to treat your slaves and how badly you're allowed to beat them. Rules on selling your daughter into slavery. Rules requiring you to kill your children under certain circumstances.

Show the whole story.
