Pubs work on plans to outright steal next election.

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Since the death of Jim Crow, few states have been beaten up as badly by the courts for their gerrymandering as NC has recently.

PolitiFact: Embed the North Carolina Truth-O-Meter widget

I suppose it's for the best that you can't embed scripts in forum posts.

It's GOP North Carolina, I doubt that banni has the bandwidth to handle a PolitiFact Truth-O-Meter widget. ;)

Americans have a right to know who is funding online political ads to influence their votes – whether Russian operatives or shadowy billionaires.

Tell the FEC: Online political ads should not be exempt from transparency rules!

I get that the NC GOP is racist and detests democracy, but aren't y'all ashamed about wasting so much of our money?

Sincerely,

To: All Members of Congress

Our 20th century laws are out of date and overmatched by the 21st century reality of political campaigns. In the wake of the 2016 elections, we continue to learn more information about how Russian agents interfered through the use of targeted Facebook and Twitter paid political ads. We demand that Congress act to protect our democracy through immediate hearings and by passing the bipartisan the Honest Ads Act.

Automatic Voter Registration

The Case for Automatic Voter Registration
Sign the petition to Congress:

"Making it easier for all eligible Americans to register and vote could bring millions of people into the democratic process. Pass the Automatic Voter Registration Act of 2016 now."

Republicans have asses handed to them again in court... gerrymander declared unconstitutional by federal three-judge panel. Only bad thing is they gave the scum-bags until Jan 24 to come up with something acceptable instead of ordering an impartial statistical re-drawing.

Rep. Chuck McGrady,

Another ongoing conversation that your team is 100% on the wrong side of morally, legally and fiscally.

Your consistent disdain for our democracy, the Constitution, NC's national reputation and wise spending of our tax dollars is detestable. Even Judge William L. Osteen Jr., who was appointed by President George W. Bush, says so. Shame on you for creating this legacy.

The above also went to NC State Sen. Edwards.

The petition to Congress reads:

“Because of a disastrous Supreme Court ruling, the Voting Rights Act is weaker now than when it was passed 50 years ago. Fight to pass the Voting Rights Advancement Act, which would restore the Voting Rights Act and block new efforts to suppress African-American and Latinx votes.”
