I'm still not understanding why so much of this was known before the season started last year. I don't keep up like my kid does, but he told me nearly all of this last fall.
If the information was out there and the school still played the dirty players, forfeiting all involved wins would go a long way toward correcting the problem.
I haven't been following that closely and I really don't know. One GUESS based on similar situations is that once authorities get involved - NCAA, local and fed LEOs - any corrective action can and is used as evidence of admission of guilt. In those cases, the miscreants just keep on keeping on while awaiting the punishment that will happen, regardless. Who knows, they might skate or the world might end.

I know that it was only South Alabama, but being up by 50 before subbing the bench ain't bad.

Hoping that none of this new soon to be released court info on the schools involved in pay for play doesn't include Auburn.

Game 2 could be Duke and Auburn

That's an impressive roster. Rankings are going to be made and broken. Kinda rude to not have a Hawaii team, though.

Way too early for season predictions, but even the walk-ons scored last night against #25 Washington.

Topping off a bad night for the Huskies, their bus caught fire on the way to the airport and they had to stand on the side of the road until 1:30 a.m.

If he put on 25 pounds for football, he would be a 6'7", 320 lb. tight end with basketball hands and he wouldn't be playing against Auburn next week.

Ah, thanks. I'm still more of a fan in theory than in reality. All those years of being anti-Dook are hard to shake.

Wow. The air time and distance on some of those are incredible.

If he put on 25 pounds for football, he would be a 6'7", 320 lb. tight end with basketball hands and he wouldn't be playing against Auburn next week.

And the spread this week vs Clemson wouldn't be 28.5.

Next up - Duke

Damn closer than I thought it would be. Unusually high fouls for us. Refs were calling really pissant fouls - both ways.

They came back from 12 down to tie with 26 seconds left. We won in overtime.

I'm not sure why Duke was so jacked up exicited when Xavier was making their last minute come back, but so down in the mouth when we were winning in overtime.

That's mean, they haven't beaten San Diego State . . . yet. ;)

Christian heritage? Even other southerners don't like Alabama?

More seriously, could be because Auburn is ranked and Xavier isn't. Everyone likes an underdog and/or you're the more serious competition.
Is this the norm for high level teams?

This tournament is at a neutral site for both teams.

Duke
Kentucky was a neutral site.
12/20 vs Texas Tech will be a neutral site.
After 11 or more games, first game on an opponent's court 1/8 at Wake Forest.

Auburn
12/15 vs UAB will be a neutral site.
12/19 at North Carolina State
Then, after a total of 11 or more other games, next game on an opponent's court 1/9 at Mississippi.

I think so but will have to ask my late rising expert.

My guess - conference play starts in January.

? - how is Birmingham a neutral site for Auburn against the University of Alabama at Birmingham
