Better than synchronized swimming or curling. But it would be more fun as a winter sport - run on an icy track or streets.
Essentially the Canadian Biathlon.

It's all fun and games until someone invents the 'Beer Javelin Toss'.

Apparently the big new stadium in Pyeongchang was built specifically for the Olympics. It'll be used four times during the Olympics. And then it'll be torn down. It's the same thing for at least a couple other venues.

It won't even be used for any sports.

It is undoubtedly wasteful, but still the concept is pretty sound. I saw a photo-listical not too long ago of all the deserted Olympic venues, mostly just crumbling messes. If there really is no practical use for it, why not tear it down now instead of later after it rots. But why does such a stadium have to be built? Could not a big spectacle be put on with an existing stadium as a base, plus temporary additions and decor? And apparently the "build it and they will come" principle doesn't work with Olympic facilities, but it's hard to believe that you couldn't draw a crowd with some capable promotion. Or maybe there just isn't any way to open up a luge ride to the public at a reasonable safety level.

Plus, you're hungry for another stadium an hour later.

Not really as wasteful as it would seem at first. The stadium is only 35,000 people and the stands were designed to be temporary and "disassembled" after use - a bit different from "destroyed." The building part is permanent and will remain as exhibition area.

Canadian figure skater adopts dog to stop it being served up as DINNER at the Winter Olympics

Meanwhile, the airlines are balking at transporting the moose that was adopted by a South Korean in order to keep it off of a Canadian dinner table.

Meagan Duhamel lives in Saint-Leonard, Quebec, a borough of Montreal. Maybe she's just bring some authentic fare to one of the Korean Restaurants in Montreal.
