I do acknowledge and attest that SEC officials have in fact just moments ago imposed a holding penalty on Alabama.
They're allowed to when the spread is 34.5?

Go:

#5 Wisconsin -24.5 vs Maryland. Yeah, I'm a traitor, but have you seen who the top 4 are?

LOL, WI tries and gets an utterly meaningless FG with 36 seconds left . . . to beat the spread by 0.5!

Texas -7 vs #10 Oklahoma St. Hook 'em out of the top 10.

So close. TX loses but beats the spread by 4 in OT, nice.

Go:

N. Carolina +21 @ #14 Virginia Tech
UNC sucks.

#18 Michigan St. -7 vs Indiana
Michigan St. coulda lost, takes the 1 point lead with 6 left, tries to run out the clock, RB should have laid down, scores to give IN a chance to tie, ends up beating the spread. Cool.

#20 UCF -7.5 @ Navy. Sink 'em.
UCF beats the spread by 2.5, good.

Kansas St. +14 vs #9 Oklahoma. Get 'em out of the top ten Sooner rather than later.
Unranked KS St ties it vs #9 Oklahoma with 2:25 left! The spread win is certain. Too bad it couldn’t knock OK out of the top ten. 2 games were thaaat close to being a rotten day in the state.

#24 LSU -7 @ Mississippi. I guessed correct by 9.
#19 Michigan +9.5 @ #2 Penn St. Get 'em out of the top ten, the win I most want to see. Michigan sucks.
Arkansas +15.5 vs #21 Auburn. NOWDE. Arkansas sucks. Congrats.
#13 Notre Dame -3.5 vs #11 USC. Best game of the day? USC sucks.

#15 Washington St. -10.5 vs Colorado. Do Cougars eat Buffalo? Don't care, pool-wise.

Meanwhile, 7-0 North Carolina A&T is ranked # 11 or 12 Won
and 5-2 Western Carolina is ranked #19 or 21 in the FCS, Won
and 6-0 Wofford (boo) is ranked #5. Lost
http://scores.nbcsports.com/cfb/polls.a ... aa&week=07
#8 Miami coulda lost.

No money again, middle of the pack.

C'mon, you're 1-1, you gotta at least break the tie. You've got 45 minutes.

Pick Auburn, it's a sure thing.

We wore the spread out yesterday. For the record, I will continue to only make predictions after the game. So far I'm battling a thousand.

You do know that I was just teasing by blaming you for those 2 losses, right?

Go:

#8 Miami (FL) -20 @ N. Carolina.
#22 West Virginia +7.5 vs #11 Oklahoma St.
#25 Iowa St. +7 vs #4 TCU. Get 'em out of the top ten.
#16 Michigan St. -2.5 @ Northwestern.
#6 Ohio St. -7 vs # Penn St. Good that one of them will lose.
#12 Washington -17 vs UCLA. Go Huskies, sneak back into contention.
Florida +13.5 vs #3 Georgia. Run them out of town like Richard Spencer.
Duke +15.5 @ #13 Virginia Tech.
Georgia Tech +14 @ #7 Clemson. Get 'em out of the top ten.
#15 Washington St. -3 @ Arizona. Go Cougars, sneak back into contention.
Arizona St. +3 vs #21 USC. Get 'em out of the top 25.

Not sure about #9 Notre Dame -7.5 vs #14 N.C. State. Advice, anyone?

Not in our pool, but great watching FSU get crushed by Boston College.

#25 Iowa St. +7 vs #4 TCU. Get 'em out of the top ten. Iowa St. hung on for the win, must be God's will. 2nd win over a top 5 team in 3 weeks after beating #3 OK. It's only ever beaten one other top 5 team.
#16 Michigan St. -2.5 @ Northwestern. Northwestern won, darn. 3OT, Vegas was right about it being close.
#6 Ohio St. -7 vs #2 Penn St. Good that one of them will lose. Brilliant Ohio St. comeback for the win. I'll take it even though it didn't beat the spread.
#12 Washington -17 vs UCLA. Go Huskies, sneak back into contention. Yes, by 4, and I won a $15 side bet with my brother.
Florida +13.5 vs #3 Georgia. Run them out of town like Richard Spencer. Opps.
#9 Notre Dame -7.5 vs #14 N.C. State. Good thing I went with Notre Dame.
I'm 4-7 and out of the money with 5 games left to play. What else is on TV tonight?
Duke +15.5 @ #13 Virginia Tech. Only scored a FG, missed the spread by 5.5.
Clemson 24, GT 10, push.
#15 Washington St. -3 @ Arizona. Go Cougars, sneak back into contention.
Arizona St. +3 vs #21 USC. Get 'em out of the top 25.
  I finished tied for last, 5-11. In the season money race I have just 2more points than a woman that missed a week.

The #s 2, 4, 14, 15, 16 and 17 teams lost, which I'm mostly okay with. Bye-bye playoffs, PSU & TCU.

Go:

#4 Wisconsin -12 @ Indiana. All the way.
#24 Michigan St. +9 vs #7 Penn St. Knock it out of the top 10.
Texas A&M +15 vs #16 Auburn.
#20 N.C. State +7.5 vs #6 Clemson. Kill the champ's playoffs hopes, 'Pack.
#14 Iowa St. +2.5 @ West Virginia. The giant killer is the underdog?
#5 Notre Dame -13.5 vs Wake Forest. Playoffs, God willing.
Texas +7 @ #10 TCU. Hook 'em out of the top 10, 'Horns.
#9 Miami (FL) +2.5 vs #13 Virginia Tech. Playoffs, I hope.

I'm not sure about:

#18 Stanford +2.5 @ #25 Washington St. Last week's PAC 12 close spreads were blowouts.
#11 Oklahoma St. -2.5 vs #8 Oklahoma. Glad that one of them has to lose.
#23 Arizona +7.5 @ #17 USC. Last week's PAC 12 blowout winners.

Advice anyone?

For the record, I went with Stanford, Oklahoma St. and Arizona.

I also picked Oregon +21 @ #12 Washington. I'm still a Husky backer but Vegas dropped the spread to 16.5, a really big change. I'm not sure why. Yahoo! stops adjusting the spreads on Wednesday night, not sure why that is, either. So, I'm rooting for Husky dominance, but by less than 21. We'll see how it works out.

Texas A&M +15 vs #16 Auburn. Beleaguered TAMU tied the spread with 3 minutes left, whew.
#24 Michigan St. +9 vs #7 Penn St. Knock it out of the top 10. Michigan St. walk off FG for the win!
#20 N.C. State +7.5 vs #6 Clemson. Kill the champ's playoffs hopes, 'Pack. Came sooo close to the win, did beat the spread with 2 minutes left.
#14 Iowa St. +2.5 @ West Virginia. The giant killer is the underdog? The giant killer got killed, missed the spread by 1.5. :(
#18 Stanford +2.5 @ #25 Washington St. Last week's PAC 12 close spreads were blowouts. Ouch, missed the spread by 0.5!
#5 Notre Dame -13.5 vs Wake Forest. Playoffs, God willing. Won, but lost the spread by 2.5 on a meaningless WF TD with 51 seconds left. :(
#11 Oklahoma St. -2.5 vs #8 Oklahoma. Glad that one of them has to lose.
OMG! Unranked 17.5 point underdog Iowa 55, #3 OH St 24. It's a glorious day.

At 6-4-1 I'm tied for first with the other guy having picked OK in a wild shootout. The halftime score was 38-38, halftime! OK does hang on for the win. I'm in a 3-way tie for 2nd. With 6 games left (!) the best I can do is tie the leader since our only difference is his picking WA while I picked OR. Could mean that neither of us will make money the way it's been going for me.

Yeah, that was stupid. Vegas moved the correct way in 3 games, but not in the 2 where I switched because of Vegas. I would have tied for 2nd without the changes but finish in penniless 4th, instead, arrrggghhh. Go Huskies!

Good day in O Really land... UNC didn't lose, 'Canes and Huskies rolled. Always fun to see Buckeyes baked, and, although I'm not usually a Gator-hater it would have been fun to see the Gainesville reaction to yet another pasting. Not a good tryout for Shannon, who last week was discussed as “We want to thank Coach McElwain for his efforts in leading the Gator football program,” Athletic Director Scott Stricklin said. “We are confident Coach Shannon will provide the proper guidance to the players and rest of staff during this time and we will begin a national search for the next head coach.”

Ouch, 45-16, and it's not like the 4-5 Missouri Tigers are a powerhouse this year. Pretty bad to get pasted by the team that got pasted by SC.

GA clinched the SEC Irrele . . . uhhh, East Division.

 UNC didn't play. Don't fret, it will always have Old Dominion.

Going with the PSC rankings:
#1 Georgia was tepid.
#2 Alabama, duh.
#3 Notre Dame stayed solid.
#4 Clemson was shaky.
#5 Oklahoma had a major win, dammit.
#6 Ohio State is outta there.
#7 Penn State is outta there.
#9 Undefeated Wisconsin dominated. It and #8 TCU, undefeated #10 Miami and #12 Washington should all move up.

My ideal playoffs would be Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Miami and Washington, favoring Washington, Wisconsin and then the other 2 in that order. Won't happen, but if the SEC and Big 12 get messy and the latter 3 become Big 10, ACC and Pac 12 champs . . .

FCS #24 Western Carolina beat the Citadel. It might just beat UNC on 11/18.
The #s 2, 6, 11, 12, 18 and 20 teams all lost.

I'm so sick of Gus that I almost wanted the ATMs to win. Hopefully we make a good choice for our new AD and Gus can go back to coaching high school.

I love some of what he does, but it seems like he sticks with the plan rather than the game at hand - evidenced by an unnecessary idiotic fake field goal instead of the easy - made them all day - 1 yard run.
