If not da Bears, then I'd say the marriage is already in trouble.

Wouldn't be the way to win over your father in law.

Or a daughter who's willing to do that for her father.

Carson Wentz owes Eagles' kicker $31,765 after game-winning field goal

Be careful what you say when you're miked up.

That's the lesson Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz learned this week. He was wired for sound during Sunday's game against the New York Giants. Prior to kicker Jake Elliott's 61-yard field goal attempt at the end of regulation, Wentz told teammate Kamu Grugier-Hill that he would give Elliott his game check if the rookie kicker somehow made it. Elliott came through with the longest field goal in Eagles history to lift them to a 27-24 win.

Per ESPN's Darren Rovell, Wentz takes home $31,765 a week.

That's pretty good bread for a rookie who just two weeks ago was stuck on the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad....
Pretty cool. There the video and audio of him saying it at the link.

On one of the longest plays in NFL history, Bucs unleash chaos

... Let’s break this mess down by the numbers:

• Total time: 45 seconds

• Total Bucs who touched the ball: 7

• Total exchanges: 11 (mostly laterals, one pass, a couple of fumbles)

• Total yardage: 68 yards

• Total net yardage: Minus-2 yards ...

Overall, a really good day -
Panthers, 'Hawks, Iggles won and Snyder was humiliated by the 'Boys at home.
Florida teams need to just give it up before anybody else gets injured.

I thought you were a DC fan. I'm not anymore, but my residual hatred of Dallas persists. I didn't watch, didn't even surf there to see the score. Go Eagles!

Seahawks are tied for the division lead! This year?

40-0! Must be humiliating to be one of the 4 teams that have lost to Miami.

I was long a 'Skins fan in my wasted youth, but Snyder has really tanked them in too many ways to be happy with. Plus, I've recovered from my own case of Dallas hatred to not care if they win. Not quite recovered enough to actually root for them, though, mainly because Jerry Jones is as despicable as Snyder. Used to be when the players - particularly the stars - were the face of a team - it's bad when the owner becomes the face. IMNVHO, there shouldn't be any reason to even know who the team owner is.

Panthers week off.
Seahawks play ATL tomorrow night to stay within half a game of the Rams and stick with the Panthers for the wildcard slots.
New Orleans beat DC.
Iggles humiliated the 'Boys in Dallas, aren't too far from sewing up the division, lead the NFC.

Bring out the brown paper bags for the "Skins fan. Up 15 with 5 minutes to go? Lose in OT? I had actually signed up for a one-day visit as a 'Skins fan to root for the Saints losing in benefit of the Panthers. Now I just feel like one shower isn't sufficient to clean off the stink.

Wisconsin bar offers free beer until Packers score, really regrets it during shutout

Opps. Technically, shouldn't they still be serving the free beer until, hopefully, sometime Sunday night 11/26?

Cowboys should have quit at the half so nobody else gets hurt.
On the feel-good story side, though, Charger's punter, who had never kicked a point after in his whole life, came in to replace the injured regular kicker and drilled it through for the extra. Not bad since he (also) missed the net on his first try on the sidelines.

I liked him showing up the announcer that said they should go for 2.

When I was a goalie I was pretty good at goal kicks and punts, 50+ yards was my norm. However, I was usually the last to kick penalty kicks in a shoot out unless it was a co-rec team. Even then, some of the women would kick first.
