I agree they were both catches, and that the ruling was correct, fortunately. I just don't think they should have been up for question. Ertz was holding the ball for a good three steps before diving/being pushed across the line, and there was not doubt he broke the plane of the goal. I'm guessing, though, that we got where we are on the technicalities of a "catch" because of challenges over the years requiring review and decision.

Bunchen congratulates every Eagle player she passed on her way out the hallway from her seat; Brady didn't even congratulate Foles. Class.

Yeah, this one will be long remembered - and not just in Philuffya.
NFL really needs to fix the totally senseless "catch" rules, though. Only under some Rube Goldberg machinations could either of catches be questioned. I know Collinsworth doesn't like the existing rule, but he was less than helpful in his continued yammering. Might be a closet Pats fan.
Eagles fans are still mad at Cris Collinsworth, even after winning Super Bowl (article)

Never have Cris Collinsworth commentate on another Philadelphia Eagles game (petition)

59,048 have signed.

'Hawks fans are not to be messed with - feed the lame kicker to the mountain - replace traffic lights with the Seahawk offensive line to reduce commuting time because "they couldn't stop anything."

Best corner in NFL in most all stats since 2011. So sure, let's give him to a division competitor. And let's get rid of Michael Bennett too.

Happy that it's the Eagles he's going to?

Meh, it's been a long time since I was a "real" Iggles fan, even though I (like most everybody else outside of New England) jumped on their bandwagon for the Super Bowl. Once you get past the 'Hawks and the Panthers, everybody else is situational fandom.

Shaquem Griffin will likely have long wait before name is called at NFL draft

... Griffin is a first-round talent who has likely fallen out of first-round talk because he has one hand. What he lacks in that single sense, he more than makes up for in speed, strength, will, football acumen and overall force of personality. Whichever team drafts him will watch the Griffin jerseys fly off the shelves. He’s a celebrity-in-waiting ...

The NFL could not have manufactured a better story. By now it’s known worldwide: his hand was amputated when he was a child, and he went on to lead UCF to an undefeated season anyway....
Linebacker. I'll look forward to seeing which team gets him and how he does. The football world will go nuts when he gets his first NFL interception. He had 2 in college - http://ucfknights.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=5519 .

Yeah, I was happy the guy got a chance. Saw a feature on him on tv a week or so ago -he's really an inspiration. Any team who wouldn't have given him a shot just because of his arm should lose their right to talk about "work ethic" "character" yada.

5th round, every team passed on him several times.

I'm glad he made it somewhere, give the guy a hand. :D

I'm so offended at a depiction of white people with slope heads

Cleveland didn't lose! Didn't win, either, but still . . .

Cool watching the Panthers win and the Cowboys lose without changing the channel.

I don't watch pro, but I did enjoy all the update texts from my son.
I never liked the cowboys - not too keen on the city either.

I guess that the first week's Monday Night Football has been a doubleheader since 2016. I never noticed.
New York Jets at Detroit Lions, 7:10 PM. Go Lions, but I don't hate the Jets.
Los Angeles Rams at Oakland Raiders, 10:15 PM. Go Raiders.

Edit 7:14 - Lions pick 6 on the very 1st Jets play.
