3 MD 63, 10 OR 77. Oh well, Go Ducks, it's time for UConn's reign to end!

Too bad about the Huskies, O Reallys.

SC in all, but FL>SC probably doesn't hurt. Doesn't matter. So, go 'Canes! Wow, 7 seed, 1st time ever to the Final 4. They've earned it. They beat a 2, 3 and 4, can they beat a 1, maybe two 1s?

UCLA > AZ
Xavier  Solo 3rd is now the best this set can do.
OR  Wow, wow, wow. Only 11% of us predicted it. OR beat the spread by 20.5, in Kansas! First Final Four in 78 years. Go Ducks!
SC Doesn't matter.
KY :( Darn, good game, exciting finish.
All underdogs, unlikely.
 This bracket is all done. I need underdogs - KY>NC, and OR & SC or FL in the final (none of the 3 picked by anyone for the final) in order to hang onto 3rd. If it's NC>KY and I get the rest, tie for 5th is where I'll be.

Duke > UNC
Xavier  Tie for 7th is now the best this set can do. $5 back if I win the tiebreaker.
KS Out of the money, no great loss.
SC
UNC Sorry, but I'm exclusively rooting for KY now.
Possible, but a lowly tie for 4th is the best I can do.

Gonzaga > KY
Gonzaga  1st time ever to the Final 4. Still can take 2nd.
KS Still can take 2nd. Sweeet.
SC Doesn't matter.
KY :(
Probably my best shot at money. Go Zags (I think)!
If SC and OR play for the title, which is probably least likely, my UCLA > AZ is in a 3-way tie for 5th. I've got $20 in. Depending on the tiebreaker, I'd get $36, $22.50 or $5 back. Also, if Gonzaga > Oregon I'm in a 2-way tie for 7th and getting $5 back, depending on the tiebreaker.

Oh well, just 5 months until college football.

Go Ducks (and Gamecocks, sigh)!

The 13 NCAA tournament plays that absolutely have to be in One Shining Moment

Only 39 Yahoo Tourney Pick'em players picked all four Final Four teams

Even 39 surprises me.
Many more people didn’t pick a single team right: 26.1 percent of all completed entries, to be exact.
I have Gonzaga & NC correct.
But the chaos in the East regional destroyed a lot of plans. A whopping 88.7 percent of pick’em players had either Villanova or Duke coming out of that bracket. But both schools lost in the first weekend, opening the door for Florida and South Carolina to play in the regional final (shout out to the 0.61 percent of you who somehow saw that coming).
I had Villanova playing Duke.
If there’s any consolation for anyone, it’s that the most popular champion pick, North Carolina, is still alive for 17 percent of players. A banner for Gonzaga would please 9.3 percent of entries while Oregon (1.1) and South Carolina (0.1) would give a small set a special kind of bragging rights
I have Gonzaga winning, but now I don't want it.

I'm 39 of 63 with 61 points. The leader is 49 of 63 with 105 points.

Apparently, I'm a women's basketball jinx.

Mississippi State shocks UConn, ending Huskies' record 111-game win streak as Bulldogs advance to title game

Don't really care now, but just to see if I can extend my own streak to 6 - go Bulldogs!

Who were those impostors wearing the blue uniforms shooting 20% during the first half? If they show up tomorrow night, it could get ugly.

Not to mention a nearly disastrous series of missed FTs at the end, but lucky and good rebounding to compensate.

UNC favored by just 1 1/2. It'll be cool if it's as competitive as both the semis.

THE NCAA PLAYS GAMES IN CUBA AND CHINA ...

BUT THEY REFUSE TO PLAY GAMES IN NORTH CAROLINA
BECAUSE OF "HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS".

LET THAT SINK IN ...

My father used to swear at the TV when Carolina screwed up. I do believe he thought he should be Dean Smith's consultant.
The Heels can awe us with perfection, or they can look like a bunch of puppies playing with a ball.
I hope it's a good nail biting game.

The Heels have been heroes and goats, but I wouldn't trade their 20 final fours and 40+ years of winning records for some up and down rags to riches sort of team. It's painful at the time, but second in the NCAA national championship is really good. First is better, though. I had the good fortune to be in Chapel Hill for the '82 win. Definitely a lifetime bucket experience. Franklin Street was total bedlam for two miles. Made Mardi Gras look like a Sunday School picnic.

I agree. 20 trips is a great legacy, at least for us fans. The losing team, those faces crumpled with the agony of defeat, always get to me.

Chapel Hill is in my blood. It confounds me how my sister could become a diehard Wolfpack fan just because her son went there. My other sister is disgustedly enamored with Duke only because her spouse is a Duke fan. <sigh>

This game is killing me. Argh!!!!!!!
