Interesting - Out of 87 entries (pending a couple of snail mails) not one person picked Villanova-killing WI to make it to the Final 4.

Today I want:

KY > Wichita St
UNC > Arkansas
OR > RI
Duke > SC
UCLA > Cincy
KS > Michigan St, except in my pool worst Louisville > Villanova and dead work set. So, KS.

Lots of eggs in the same baskets, but they are all favorites.

Louisville (favorite by 3.5) > Michigan, except in my pool 2nd best Duke > UNC.
USC (underdog by 6.5) > Baylor, except in my currently pool best UCLA > AZ and dead work set. Not that I bet on play-in USC in any set, I just went heavy on eliminated SMU to beat Baylor.

All spreads

GO Terps women vs. WV!

Heckuva run for Michigan since the plane crash on their way to the Big 10 Tournament.
UCLA > AZ drops from 5th to 8th, just 2 points out of the lead. Duke > UNC climbs from 23rd to 17th, just 4 points out of the lead. Gonzaga > Louisville (Yahoo!), Louisville > Villanova  Only 3 others (1 of them in 2nd) have lost both Final Game teams.

KY > Wichita St
KS > Michigan St
 UCLA > AZ back to 5th, Duke > UNC up to 16th.

UNC > Arkansas
UNC 72, Arkansas 65. Tar Heels close the game on a 12-0 run. Wow, was looking shaky.

OR > RI
Whew, another close one.
UCLA > AZ up to solo 2nd!, still 2 points out of the lead. Duke > UNC up to 14th, still 4 points out of the lead.

USC (underdog by 6.5) > Baylor, except in my currently pool best UCLA > AZ and dead work set.
USC almost did it. Duke > UNC down to 17th, 6 points out of the lead.

Duke > SC
Awww crap, made worse because the loss is to SC.

UCLA > Cincy
 Go Bruins!

GO Terps women vs. WV!

Gonzaga > Louisville: 36/48, 45 points. The Yahoo! leader, DJ's Dazzling Bracket, is 45/48! and has 59 points. I've got 4 Elite 8 and 2 Final 4 still alive. No money, but probably not bad vs. 560,300 other players.

UCLA > AZ: Solo 2nd, 2 points from the lead, have 7 Elite 8 - as good as anyone - and 3 Final 4 still alive.
Duke > UNC: Tie for 15th, 6 points out of the lead, 6 Elite 8 and 3 Final 4 still alive.
Gonzaga > KY: Tie for 30th, just 8 points out of the lead, 5 Elite 8 and 3 Final 4 still alive.
Louisville > Villanova: Tie for 65th.

Looking only at my 3 ways of still making money and picking the underdog where I don't have a team left in the game, I want:

Gonzaga > WV
AZ > Xavier
KS > Purdue
UNC > Butler
SC > Baylor

Lots of eggs in the same basket, but they are all favorites except SC.

WI vs. FL: FL for UCLA > AZ, WI for the others.
OR vs. Michigan: OR for UCLA > AZ, Michigan for the others.
UCLA vs. KY: UCLA for UCLA > AZ, KY for the others.

All spreads

I'm not a Dook-hater, and generally I like and admitre Mike Krzyzewski. I wasn't actively wishing for a loss, and certainly not to SC, but the only thing that would have made that loss really good would have been if Grayson Allen had badly screwed up and blew a win. The guy is a jerk with anger issues who should have been permanently booted after violating more than two chances. There are teams, in all sports, that tolerate (or encourage) dirty play. Duke shouldn't be one of them.

Entitled to what? Anyway, why "poor child" except he had the experience of attending a big event even if his favorite team lost in the tournament? What is the appropriate age for someone to drop an "F bomb?" And does one get to celebrate that date with a party, or maybe a celebratory rant? Are there special hats and t-shirts for the day? Invitations? "Save the date: Seth's Bar Mitzvah and first F-Bomb August 3." Is one allowed to F-bomb before voting age? Or maybe is it just a privilege of some versions of "growing up." Like, "Dennis, if you keep your room clean and help Mom wash the car you can tell Mr. Wilson to fuck off."

A brief shot during the game is one thing, but I'm not comfortable with CBS, other media and Mr.B shaming a distraught child over and over. Fwiw, I was thinking that about this kid long before Mr.B posted.

We've got 85 real entries. There are also some celebs on the spread sheet just for fun.
Our leader has 53 points.
My UCLA > AZ has 51 points, solo 2nd.
Picks-by-Seeds has 50 points, 6-way tie for 3rd. It never wins, but always does way better than most.
My Duke > UNC has 47 points, 7-way tie for 15th.
My Gonzaga > KY has 45 points, tied for 30th.
Adam Sandler has 44 points, tied for 40th.
Bryan Cranston has 43 points, tied for 45th.
My Louisville > Villanova has 40 points, tied for 65th.
Wayne Gretzky has 38 points, tied for 77th. "The Great One" - says who?

UCLA is favored by 1 over KY, that surprises me. My heart wants WI, OR & UCLA.

"Poor child" .... he's a TV celebrity now, thanks to his fine upbringing. Mom and Dad (if one or the other is even around anymore) should take a hard look at themselves and their language in front of the kid(s). There is no appropriate age to drop an "F Bomb", especially so in a moment of rage or disappointment; at least in a moral society.

The kid is the son of Nortwestern's Atheletic Director. I'm guessing his parentage is just fine.

First tourney bid in their history, all of Evanston was on board, the Wildcats got hosed by a bad call, I was swearing too.

Personally, I don't think they had your comfort in mind when it was beamed around the world; however a diaper change for you is obviously in order. (draw up a petition, that'll fix 'em!) The media bleeped out his mouthing because it was so obvious what he was saying; that poor distraught child.

"However, knowing your uncontrollable obsession© with male butts, nttawwt, I'll excuse it."
I'm sure you are stunned; since you've never been called that before by others before me, Drama Queen. You'll live.
I'm not concerned with your obsessing with my obsessions; we all know your butt is jealous because of all the crap that comes out of your mouth.

WI +2 vs. FL: FL for UCLA > AZ, WI for the others.
OR +1 vs. Michigan: OR for UCLA > AZ, Michigan for the others.
UCLA pick vs. KY: UCLA for UCLA > AZ, KY for the others.

All spreads
Funny how it worked out. Besides my hopes for underdog SC, in every game where the spread is >3 I want the favorite. In every game where the spread is <2.5 I've hedged my bet. A Baylor win probably won't hurt too much. 11% of us picked it to win this game and only 3% of us picked it to win the next one. 1% (one player) picked it to win the semi and final.

UCLA > AZ & Gonzaga > KY can take solo 1st in the pool.
The best that Duke > UNC can do is solo 2nd.

There's money in 1st through 7th ($5 back). Also $5 back for the worst bracket, which has already been sewn up by one lousy player.

My Louisville bracket is in 86th out of 89. :D It can only score points on one more Gonzaga win.
Picks-by-Seeds is in a tie for 3rd despite the upsets, a strong showing by the most boring of brackets.
Go Bruins! Or not.
A 3, a 4 and 2 11s in the Elite 8, nice. 3 1s and a 2 also remain.

KS
