Will probably refer to them as "losers" and the "failing Golden State Warriors"

Will it be Cavaliers - Golden State for a 4th straight year in the NBA Final? Shades of Celtics - Lakers when we were kids. Golden State leads the Western Conference semis series 3-1.
Golden State lead series 1-0 vs. Houston, but Boston leads series 2-0 vs. Cleveland.

Both the Cavaliers and Golden State came back from being down in the series to force a Game 7. The Cavs play in Boston tonight, GSW plays in Houston on Monday.

Go Celtics, slightly.

Houston was up 17 in the first quarter of Game 6. GSW won by 29, outscoring Houston 64-25 in the 2nd half!

Go Warriors!

The suspicious mind might wonder exactly how can something like that happen in a pro sport?

It's not like more money is made with Game 7s. Oh wait . . .

Well of course, but for a 64-25 ass-kicking to occur, doesn't one team have to basically lie down? And even if they were throwing it, wouldn't it be likely they'd try to make it closer?

I was mostly making the joke. While there's incentive for more games, idk how it manifests. This article gives some detail, but 'shit happens' may be as good an explanation as any when you have Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, and the Rockets didn't have Chris Paul (hamstring).

Backs against wall down 17, Warriors crank up defense, rain threes, force Game 7

Will Chris Paul play in Game 7?

"Doesn’t sound like it."

It was even worse than that. The Rockets only scored 9 in the 4th quarter of Game 6.

It happened again! Not quite as extreme, but still. The Rockets were up by 11 at the half at home, lost by 9 thanks to a 15-33 3rd quarter, 92-101.

So, 1230 regular season games, 78 playoff games, four 7-game series including Cleveland twice, both Conference Finals going to 7 games, and it's the same Finals as the last 3 years - Cleveland vs. GSW. Go Warriors!

First time ever that the same 2 teams have met in the finals 4 years in a row in any pro sport.
LeBron James is playing in his 8th finals in a row. Maybe also a first, I'm not sure.
Tied at the half in Oakland, fitting. 2nd half has been very good for GSW lately.

Edit: Whew, GSW overcomes LeBron's 51 to win it easily in OT at home, retains the home field advantage.

Fishy call to create overtime.

Could be, I don't remember. There was a fishy call at the end of overtime, but GSW had already won. OT was also created by the Cavs missing a free throw and then J.R. Smith's brain fart in not calling a timeout or taking a shot. If the Cavs were screwed by the refs, they came thaaat close to overcoming it.

Saw one terrible non-call of a foul by Curry against LeBron in Game 2, but didn't watch enough to otherwise get an impression.

LeBron "only" scored 29 in this one. Became a rout by GSW in the 4th.

Curry set a finals record with nine 3-pointers (17 attempts). This is especially impressive given the shooter that's played in 3 other finals:
Spoiler:
Steph Curry.

Missed this one. More important baseball game conflict.

I wish the Lebron's had won game one. I'm not so sure they will have another chance for a win.

KD! No team has ever come back from 0-3 in the Playoffs.

Sweep.
So much for my 'manipulate into 7 games' theory.
Bummer for ABC, it's not like they've got much else working well for them.
108-85 win, ouch.
Bummer for the Cavs, at least no one will dwell on the Game 1 questions.
Too soon to talk about a dynasty to rival the Lakers (3 eras), the Celtics and the Bulls?

LeBron James agrees to four-year, $154 million deal with Lakers

LeBron: Appeared in the last 8! Finals, with 2 different teams, won 3 of them.
Warriors (with KD for at least 2 more years): Appeared in the last 4 Finals, won 3 of them.
Looks like CA will dominate the NBA for a few years either way.
