Jays win, Jays win!
And as a bonus, the Iggles smacked down the Giants. Life is good.

My wishes:
Either Mets or Cubs over KC, otherwise Cubs > Jays, Jays > Mets.

I think it would be fun for the Cubs to win. Breaking the goat jinx and all that. But it would be more fun to go to the Jays spring games in Dunedin and see the world champion flag flying. But they might increase the cost of the $20 box seats, too.

Jays down 3 games to 1 and the Cubs are down 3-0, sorry GCG.

Go Mets!

I'm guessing that teams have come back from a 0-3 deficit in a League
Championship series, but I'd still rather be three up than three down.
So far, I'd call it the Curse of Murph.

Worse than you might think: "There have been 33 different best-of-seven series in MLB postseason history that have started 0-3. Only one team came back to win, the 2004 Boston Red Sox in the ALCS."

Sweep, bummer. Oh well, at least the pain wasn't drawn out.

Otoh, the Jays are keeping it interesting.

I knew it would be rare, but I didn't realize that there was only one
team, the one that most people likely remember, the Red Sox win.
Well, it's all academic now.

I must admit the Mets were pretty impressive. I thought they
would have a rough time against the Cubs, who seemed to
have the momentum coming into the series. Both teams
seem to have a good future. I'm glad for Terry Collins and
David Wright, who labored for a long time when the Mets
had mediocre teams. One more left to go.

A WS 1st at bat inside the park HR - that's pretty cool, even if it was KC and could have been called an error.

Took me a little while to "process" the whole thing. It's one
thing to lose the Series, but to lose it by giving up late
inning leads and blowing saves is kind of embarrassing.
The only silver lining is that the Mets look to be more
competitive in the next few years than they have been
in a long time.
