Good News On The Local Front

In the past I have had some criticism for our County Commission (Highland Park fiasco). However, this report indicates they have been a good steward of our money. It is a prime example of what can be done with conservative principles. That is make sure we take in more than we spend. I wish this would expand to Raleigh and Washington.

Spoken like a true 100% lib. Never leave collected money unspent.

The answer: They would probably have wasted it.

Wrong again. I just don't believe throwing money at an issue makes it better. BTW, from what I understand Henderson County schools are vary good compared to other government school systems.

Nope, Vrede just trying to "twist" gain like we did last summer since he has no rational answer for my post.

Not really. If we already have a good system why would it need more money?

There is just nothing wrong with allowing the citizens to keep more of their own money.

I do appreciate Vrede proving that if we, the taxpayers, continue to provide excess funds to goverment it will be spent whether necessary or not. That is the lib way.

It's a shame when parents have to do school maintenance, or when kids have to pester friends and family to buy popcorn or wrapping paper. It's disgraceful when a few get paltry raises and others get nothing.

Any money spent on the schools amounts to citizens keeping their own money. The students are the children of all of us whether or nor we have kids in the system.
