The Return of Wimpy Wuss

Unread post by Bungalow Bill »

Image

Look, up in the sky, it's a wimp, it's a wuss, it's Wimpy Wuss,
Slower than a stationary bullet,
Less powerful than a model locomotive,
Able to bend cardboard in his bare hands,
And to give out bs in a single bound.

Wimpy Wuss is back. He has a dispute with his water payment
or some nonsense, so naturally the next step is to run for mayor,
just what any egotitical assjack would do under the circumstances.
Fucking retard.

You always hear people saying that "government ought to run like a business." You never hear them say "business ought to run like government." Maybe that's because they are different types of entities, with different missions, objectives, and operating conditions. Idiots all.

Folks like Miller can never quite understand that government is not a profit-
making entity. There's nothing wrong with the sound financial management
of government--making sure it is spending money wisely, not duplicating
services, etc., but to expect it to be totally run like a for profit business is
nonsensical. I'm glad I live outside the city limits of Hendo, just in case.

I got the impression that Volk was the least conservative of the mayoral
candidates, which isn't saying a whole lot maybe. True, they aren't exactly
movers and shakers, but one has to keep an eye on these small town pols,
because they might try to screw around, even if it's rather minor stuff.
Stephen Black was always good at sniffing that stuff out. I got a kick out
of the Bruce Benson colum where he did a Q & A with the two mayoral
candidates. I'm still glad I live outside the city limits. :)

Yeah, that was a funny column. I got a laugh when Volk answered they'd kick me
off the council if I came out for gay marriage. No doubt the county has one or
two semi-wingnuts in training. It's always funny when the local loons try to insert
national politics into their spiel. Well, I am represented by the Mills River Town
Council, but who knows what they're up to. From the little I read, it's nothing
very earth shaking.

I'm sure Miller will win one of the seats. And he got into it because he
didn't like his water fees. What a selfless guy. I'm still glad I live outside
the city limits. 8-)
