2024 Elections

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

I'm not sure the exact circumstances of the killing really matter from a PR standpoint. The dog could have had rabies, two broken legs, and terminal cancer and deserved better than to be shot in the gravel pit because she "hated it." Responsible humane people would either find it a new home or call the vet to put it down properly.

Idk about the proper training or re-homing options, but if the death decision has been made I have no problem with a well-placed $1 bullet in the country vs a $200 vet in town. Roommate did that with a very sick household cat once. I was okay with the decision.

I couldn't personally do it, not with a pet that I own, but I too am ok with the method.

I'd personally rather make sure the animal drifts off to sleep than a potential botched execution.

The amount of Trump 2024 signs in people's yards in rural SC is concerning. But completely expected. I think what's most concerning is these people's complete lack of moral character being openly advertised so enthusiastically.

It's so strange but says a lot. I've never displayed a yard sign, bumper sticker or worn political merchandise in my life.

Fine for you, but that's an odd take. How is it a character flaw to have a political yard sign or bumper sticker? Whack9's point is about Trumpettes, specifically, lacking moral character.

Maybe it's a reach, but it goes to the character flaws of zealous cult like trumpaloons in general.

I still have a faded Bernie bumper sticker from 2016 and I used to make and put up yard signs by the hundreds. Nothing wrong with rooting for your team, IMO. I do oppose placing them on public property, as is common here. They should be linked with particular residents.
