Trump Roasted For 'Amazing Lie' In Courthouse Speech

This is categorically FALSE. Today is my first day attending the trial and Mr Trump's description of the area surrounding the courthouse does not resemble the truth.
People were lined up outside between barriers (press & non-press).
And the park directly across from the courthouse is completely open to the public.

... HuffPost’s S.V. Date reported that just about “nothing” was happening on the streets outside the court, despite Trump’s warnings that the prosecution against him could trigger major protests and uprisings.

Since the start of the trial, Trump has repeatedly suggested, falsely, that a heavy security presence is to blame for the lack of turnout from his supporters.

Last month, the New York Times reported that Trump was disappointed with the paltry showing outside his trial. Trump subsequently lashed out at Times reporter Maggie Haberman, and claimed that “thousands of people were turned away” from the area. “It is an armed camp to keep people away,” he wrote on Truth Social.

In a statement, Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson said Trump’s “anti-immigrant, anti-choice, and anti-working-class messaging doesn’t resonate with Bronxites.”

Emily Compagno’s spin on the former president’s rambling Las Vegas speech was ridiculed on social media.

Fox News’ Emily Compagno drew mockery for her fawning description of former President Donald Trump.

On Monday’s broadcast of “Outnumbered,” Compagno hailed Trump’s campaign speech in Las Vegas in which the presumptive GOP presidential nominee rambled about sharks and electrocution, claimed insurrectionists who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, are “warriors” and more.

Oh, and he also ranted about a failing teleprompter and talked about stiffing the contractors who’d set it up.

Compagno, though, said it made Trump look like a “totally real, normal American.”

He handled the teleprompter glitch with “aplomb,” she added.

Donald Trump’s Wild New Debate Claim Has People Saying, Hmm, OK
Critics pounced on the former president’s suggestion.

Former President Donald Trump drew mockery for suggesting he may purposefully lose the first 2024 presidential debate to President Joe Biden to ensure that Biden isn’t removed from the Democratic ticket.

CNN will host the first Biden-Trump debate in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 27.

During an interview with Steve Gruber for the right-wing Real America’s Voice on Thursday, presumptive GOP presidential nominee Trump once again baselessly claimed Biden will be fed “a lot of stuff” before the debate and once again called on the candidates to undergo drug tests beforehand.


The talk turned to the possibility of Biden being replaced as the Democratic candidate, which Trump said he didn’t want to happen.

“Well, you know, interestingly, they’ve done polling, and I do better against almost everybody,” said Trump.

“And so they don’t want to take him off,” he continued. “Maybe I’m better off losing the debate. I’ll make sure he stays. I’ll lose the debate on purpose. Maybe I’ll do something like that.”...

Trump says he might lose the debate on purpose to keep Biden in the race. He says no matter how bad Biden does they will see he did a great job.

I suspect Trump knows he is going to get destroyed in the debate and is already making his excuses. Biden is going to show him whose brain is jelly and who is too demented to be president. I will truly be surprised if Trump does not find an excuse to bail on this debate.

The Biden campaign wished former President Trump a happy 78th birthday Friday with a mocking list of 78 “accomplishments” highlighting his legal troubles and some controversial moments from his time in office.

The list included Trump’s multiple felony convictions in New York late last month, some of his difficulties as a business owner, his handling of the Charlottesville, Va., white nationalist rally in 2017, his call for the death penalty for the Central Park Five, a video he posted on social media that referenced a “unified Reich,” his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, his efforts to overturn the Affordable Care Act, and his statements taking credit for ending Roe v. Wade.
