The Food Thread

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Diced, sauteed and in a stew, maaaybe.

I did try Balut in the Philippines once, and hated it. That was probably the weirdest food for me.

Stop the Unhealthy and Inhumane High-Speed Slaughter of Pigs (disturbing video and petition)

Not sure about MN, but thanks to the animal abuse defending NC Leg the videographer could have been charged with a crime here.

I just saw a pic if this pizza online and it aroused my hunger. Nah, it's a half cheese half pepperoni.

It looks like a Detroit pizza. Not something a Jersey boy should be drooling over.

That's from my hometown. Probably the only glimmer of hope left in that desolate wasteland of misery. It's literally the only thing that keeps people from offing themselves.

I love pizza. But for reasons only partially associated with quality, I only eat it if I'm in NY or Jersey. And that one did look good.

I know it's irrational, but square and rectangular pizzas and pizza slices have always bothered me.

That thing looked huge - probably a party tray type thing. But the square pizzas came from Detroit. Originally made them in pans used to hold car parts on the assembly lines. Or so the story goes. Anyway, they're from Detroit.

There's a newish place on Hooterville called Pi Squared, Detroit pies. Haven't tried them yet but I hear they're pretty good.
