Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Collins has reflected on his lashing of Democrats. Who knows whether it's honest or damage control. Maybe these guys have seen the wingnut rhetoric from breitbart and rush.

[“I did lash out. … After, you know, the emotion of that instance wore off, an hour or two later, I looked in the mirror and said, ‘That’s not the right tone,’” Collins said on CNN’s “New Day,” adding, “I’m willing to admit that was wrong for me to say, that would actually be going in the wrong direction, and I myself am gonna try to tone down some of my rhetoric.”

Collins also criticized Trump for blasting a Washington Post report of a possible obstruction of justice investigation into Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey. “I would have certainly not advised that that tweet go out today because we’re still very much reacting to yesterday’s shooting,” Collins said on “New Day.”
Lord help me, repugs apologizing and making sense.
The bar is set pretty low when we appreciate a couple of Repubs for regretting exploiting a tragedy and for admitting that the reichwing spews violent rhetoric.

Among the hallmarks of the RW are their persistent fear and the ease and speed with which they are frightened. Perhaps they are simply skeert, now that they think there may be targets on their backs, especially thanks to their insistence that guns, guns and more guns be made available to any and everyone, even the nutburgers, and that they be allowed to carry the fucking things any and everywhere they damned well please. If that's true, then I support this fear.

Bet I know how those two voted recently on the bill to allow vets made bat shit crazy by what they saw and did in Iraq to buy guns.

House panel votes to force new debate on terror war
The move to rescind the post-9/11 military authorization was a rare victory for Democratic Rep. Barbara Lee, a long-time war critic.

Congress may finally be getting fed up with war on autopilot.

A powerful House committee voted unexpectedly Thursday to require Congress to debate and approve U.S. military action in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and other far-flung countries — in a surprise victory for a longtime Democratic critic of the nearly two-decade-old war on terrorism.

The amendment from Rep. Barbara Lee of California — one of countless she has offered in recent years — is only a modest first step in getting Congress to update the authorization of military force that lawmakers adopted after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. But Thursday's voice vote in the GOP-controlled Appropriations Committee is a symbolic move forward.

Even Republicans with military experience embraced Lee's defense spending bill amendment, which would repeal the 2001 authorization. They noted that the anti-terror struggle has evolved markedly since the days when U.S. troops hunted Osama bin Laden in the mountains of Afghanistan, yet Congress has never debated and authorized the fight against newer extremist groups like the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria....

Petition to be delivered to The United States House of Representatives and The United States Senate

Support & protect Barbara Lee's amendment to sunset the overbroad 2001 AUMF Trump is abusing in Syria & Yemen.
AUMF = the Authorization for the Use of Military Force against those responsible for the September 11 attacks and associated forces, which passed Congress three days after the attacks in 2001.

Secretary Zinke, it's time to call it quits

Editor's Note: Joel Clement is an independent science, policy and climate change expert and former civil servant. He was a climate change policy adviser at the US Department of the Interior until July 2017, when he became a federal whistleblower, accusing the Trump administration of retaliating against him for his climate change work. In September 2017, he received the Joe A. Callaway Award for Civic Courage.

Secretary Ryan Zinke, last week I turned in my US Department of the Interior credentials and reluctantly walked away from public service. Today, I call on you to do the same and resign as secretary of the Interior.

Since you were sworn in on March 1, you have demonstrated contempt for the agency's mission and its devoted employees. As I described in my resignation letter, I quit my position because of your spectacularly poor leadership, reckless waste of taxpayer dollars and disregard for the dangers of climate change -- all of which are putting American well-being and the economy at risk....

There's discussion over whether the Twitter hero can be charged or sued. Seems ticky-tack to me over an 11 minute disruption, but I wonder how they would find 12 jurors that would side with the poor victimized POSPOTUS and his adoring followers, anyhow. No way that I would.

Woman Fired For Flipping Off Donald Trump's Motorcade

The headline is misleading.

IMNVHO:
If she had been fired for flipping off the POTUS on her own time, I would object.
If she was fired for violating the Akima LLC's social media policy, I don't object as long as the policy is known and clear. I also don't object when racists and other reichwingers get fired for the same thing.
If the Akima LLC applies its social media policy unequally as she alleges, I object.

And that she was quickly fired from her job at government contractor Akima LLC.

Using the most offensive employee rights and freedom of speech stomping reasoning possible.
