Presidents* Trump & Putin bromance

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Several twitter profiles have been outed as fake. They were created by the Internet Research Agency in Russia. High profile people like Mike Pence, Flynn, Conway had followed them and retweated some of the content posted by these twitter accounts.

I don't think this necessarily shows "collusion", but it definitely goes to show how susceptible dumbasses are to internet memes that pull at your political heart strings, and it's kind of scary that high profile people in government are just as liable to fall for this garbage as Billy Bud Lite of down yonder Mississippi.

Case in point, take a stroll over to one of the most popular conservative political forums on the internet, and you'll notice threads justifying Donald Trump's tweeting as ok solely because it angers liberals.

Acting presidential, with decorum and dignity, be damned, we got libs that need to be made offended. The oft denigrated liberal "feelz before reelz" of viewing the world through rose colored classes has been adopted by it's very detractors who've instead traded some rose tinted shades for those covered in filth.

Arguably, this is even worse in my opinion, because instead if operating from a place of love and fellowship for your fellow man (just as the big man up in heaven would've wanted us), they're instead coming from a place of pure resentment believing this makes then strong.

Ressentiment is a sign of weakness in a man:

I found this, just an anonymous forum post but it seems well informed and rings true:
The Supreme Court said in US vs. Nixon that the president is not above the law and cannot use his executive privileges to conceal evidence in criminal trials that may lead to his impeachment. It must be tempting to pardon a defendant during/before his own criminal trial, so they don't have to give testimony that can be used as evidence in your impeachment. But then there's no reason for that witness to take the Fifth -- if you've already granted a pardon, nothing they say can incriminate themselves. NOT telling the truth when later questioned might even mean the pardoned witness is committing NEW obstruction of justice crimes and can land back in jail anyway!
My own thoughts: Any pardon with the intent of effect of hindering ongoing criminal investigations stands a good chance of being thrown out by the courts, will definitely hurt the GOP in 2018 and 2020, and would certainly add more ammunition to the efforts to impeach and convict Putin's Agent Orange. He has no winning strategy and will eventually resign in disgrace.

The petition to Congress reads:

“Attorney General Jeff Sessions lied about his ties to Russia during his confirmation hearing. He is not qualified to be attorney general. Congress must impeach him."

Paraphrasing myself: Perry, DeVos, Carson, Zinke, Mnuchin, Sessions and Pompeo have tough jobs competing for WORST agency head.

We have a new contestant:

Report: Commerce head (Wilbur Ross) has stake in firm tied to Putin orbit

Offshore Trove Exposes Trump-Russia links and Piggy Banks of the Wealthiest 1 Percent
A new leak of confidential records reveals the financial hideaways of iconic brands and power brokers across the political spectrum.

A trove of 13.4 million records exposes ties between Russia and U.S. President Donald Trump’s billionaire commerce secretary, the secret dealings of the chief fundraiser for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the offshore interests of the queen of England and more than 120 politicians around the world.

The leaked documents, dubbed the Paradise Papers, show how deeply the offshore financial system is entangled with the overlapping worlds of political players, private wealth and corporate giants, including Apple, Nike, Uber and other global companies that avoid taxes through increasingly imaginative bookkeeping maneuvers.

One offshore web leads to Trump’s commerce secretary, private equity tycoon Wilbur Ross, who has a stake in a shipping company that has received more than $68 million in revenue since 2014 from a Russian energy company co-owned by the son-in-law of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In all, the offshore ties of more than a dozen Trump advisers, Cabinet members and major donors appear in the leaked data....

Petition to Congress:

"Do not pass any tax-related legislation without first completing a full and public investigation into the offshore tax-dodging schemes revealed by the Paradise Papers, including financial ties between Trump Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and a Russian energy company linked to Vladimir Putin."

according to fox, the only really bad guy outed by the Paradise Papers was Bono - there was no mention of Ross, or other embarrassments.

U.S. Risks ‘Coup’ if Mueller Investigation Continues, Republicans Warn

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into whether the Trump campaign assisted Russia in its effort to interfere in the 2016 election amounts to an attempt to overthrow the government, Republicans have argued.

“We are at risk of a coup d'etat in this country if we allow an unaccountable person, with no oversight, to undermine the duly-elected President of the United States,” said Florida Congressman Rep. Matt Gaetz from the chamber floor.

He was joined by other members of the House Freedom Caucus, a hard-right group of Republicans, who brought a motion last week calling for Mueller step down because of “obvious conflicts of interest.” The measure wouldn’t be binding, but it would put the House on record in opposition to Mueller....
Gaetz is billy.pilgrim's Rep.

Mine, Mark Meadows, chairs the House Freedom Caucus, though he's not mentioned in the article.

Gaetz and the House Freedom Caucus should be banned for treason and terrorist threats.

Matt is pretty much a shithead drunk driver with a politician daddy who got his drunk driving charge dismissed in spite of Florida law.

So Putin says he didn't interfere with the US election, and Trump says he believes him. Despite clear evidence of attempts to tamper produced by multiple credible sources. Problem is, Putin would say the same thing whether or not they had interfered. Does anybody really expect him to say, "sure, we got you elected..." ?

President* Trump could leave one way or the other.
Pence might be involved in the coverup, how deeply we don't know.
Ryan is next in line unless Pence has enough time to get a VP confirmed.

Best of all outcomes and ignoring probabilities, who would you prefer?

I'd go with Ryan. My thinking is that Dolt .45 is crazy and dangerous, Pence is evil and Ryan is just very bad.
