2016 Elections

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

So, both Biden and Gore. Apparently, some Dems are desperate for an old, nonsocialist male.

POLL: The Republican presidential race is turning upside down

... Donald Trump continues to lead the Republican side, with 25% support among registered voters....

Ben Carson, a retired neurosurgeon and political neophyte, placed second in the Fox News survey. Carson received 12% of the vote compared with 7% when the pollster last surveyed the race at the start of August.

Running third in the poll was Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas with 10%, a four-point rise from the previous survey. Cruz, a conservative firebrand who entered the Senate in 2013, has used his short time in the chamber to infuriate the Republican establishment.

It's not until the No. 4 position that a conventional candidate with sizable establishment support appears in the survey: former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida. Bush scored 9% in the poll, a 6-point decline since the previous survey.

After him was former Gov. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas, whose 6% held steady over the previous weeks, and Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, who like Bush has seen his support decline; Walker was at 9% but is now tied with Huckabee at 6%....
 I for one appreciate GOP voters' insistence on enthusiastic, wingnutty irrelevance.

The scary thing about Trump is that he isn't any more bat-shit crazy than the rest of them. You have to put it in perspective - he's first choice of 25% of Republicans, out of a field of 17. That's substantial, but those 25% are the looniest of the loons and will vote for somebody crazy anyway. They're the people who think political office is so easy anybody can do it, and I'm sure would be just delighted to have an amateur work on their teeth, if they have any. Meanwhile Rubio, who is also looney but better looking, is avoiding controversy and fanhitting shit. He could sneak in.

Time to investigate teddy
Mom supposedly had become Canadian citizen when he was born
So ted was a Canadian only
Until last year when he denounced his Canadian citizenship
Now he is simply an illegal in ever country on earth
And does not qualify to be in Congress, must less - oh nevermind he ain't got a chance in hell of being Pres.
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”

http://www.examiner.com/article/ted-cru ... enate-seat

Details have been emerging which highly suggest that both Ted Cruz's parents had become Canadian citizens prior to his birth. According to past public statements made by his father, legal opinions and documentation currently available, Rafael (Ted) Cruz was likely born of 2 Canadian citizens in Calgary back in December of 1970.

Under public pressure regarding a possible run for President of the United States, Cruz did release his Canadian certificate of birth. Since the certificate only lists his parents place of birth and not their citizenship status, it has just merely been assumed that his mother retained her US citizenship since her birth. It was not until May of 2014 that Senator Cruz filed the legal paperwork necessary to officially denounce his Canadian citizenship which was automatic at birth.

According to a documented timeline of the Cruz' Family citizenship status and various other legal experts in Canada, Senator Ted Cruz was born a citizen of Canada at birth and there is no denying that legal fact. This timeline provides a summary of known citizenship status of his father, mother and himself presented in chronological order of events.

A recent FOIA request to obtain a copy of his US naturalization papers, if they exist, was denied stating that the information would have to be requested by Rafael (Ted) Cruz himself. With the now highly likely true circumstances of his birth, this US Senator from Texas should be required to show proof that he ever became a citizen of the United States in order to be allowed to retain his seat in congress. Without this documentation of naturalization, which would be further proof to automatically disqualify him from running for President, he can in no way continue to hold a seat in the US Senate as one must at least have become a US citizen through naturalization to be eligible to hold the office.

If Senator Ted Cruz was only a citizen of Canada and has since denounced that citizenship, is he a man without a country and unlawfully holding a US Senate seat?

Will the American people unite in a demand that our constitution is finally adhered to? At least 3 Republican contenders for President are obviously not eligible to run for the office. Why has even Donald Trump gotten silent on the issue? It will take the American people to right these wrongs, no candidate currently running for office from either major party has the guts to ever do it.

47%, both disturbing and funny.

Maybe, but no one gets the nomination without appealing to a big chunk of that 47%.
Looks like 8 more years of a Dem in the WH.

If elected, do you think it would be beneath Donald Trump to travel in Air Force One?

If flown by the Air Force, his plane would be Air Force One.
If one of the current two in use by Obama, I suspect being able to nuke Rosie O'Donnell, Mexico, Scott Walker and Heidi Klum would compensate for the lack of gold-plated seatbelt buckles.

Finally another declared independent candidate, Deez Nuts, polls at 9% in North Carolina to go along with his 8% in Minnesota and 7% in Iowa in our recent polling.

Deez Nuts '16

What do you think everyone, how 'bout Deez Nuts?

I noticed you changed your wording. I too was under the impression that any aircraft the POTUS was flying in would revert it's call sign to Air Force One. I think I saw that in a movie; Harrison Ford, maybe.

Yeah, read the full article. I knew about Marine One, not about Navy One and Executive One. Will there be a NASA One someday?

'Deez Nuts' And 'Sydneys Voluptuous Buttocks' Are Running For President, Because Why Not
"Deez Nuts" is (are?) no joke, but some of these other candidates are just pulling your leg.

So, anyone could register any name, say:
