Damn, 'Heels #1 despite the ugly loss to Silo Tech. Aztecs in at #5. Somebody up there likes them. Duke with an easy path.
https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/bracket

UNC maybe gets to stomp Bama in the Sweet 16 - billy.pilgrim is jealous.

Must have been a pickle for the Committee, #1s Purdue and Houston also lost their final games. Only UConn looks invincible. Shame that your SDSU or WDE face it in the Sweet 16.

SDSU vs 4 WDE in the 2nd round. I expect some quality trash talk from y'all.

Could be worse, GoCubsGo's 9 Northwestern gets UConn in Round 2. Funny that the 3 of you BRDistas are in the same half-Region and will be down to 1 team after the Sweet 16 and more likely after Round 2. Gonna make the conversation around here rather thin.

Duke has 5 WI fresh off WI beating AP #13 IL, then Duke has 1 Houston. How is that an easier path than other ones? Is Houston thought to be the weakest #1, and also weaker than all the #2s?

Duke and UNC in the Championship! You heard it here first.

Former homeys, sort of, MT St and Howard are both automatic qualifiers. Why are they forced into play-in games instead of bubble teams? :ateeth: :ateeth:

11 OR gets to Duckslap upset 6 SC in Game 1. Cool!

Maybe all the games are this poorly located; still, it’s unlikely that Auburn’s games could have been more poorly located.

“Pearl spoke about the fact that three of the state’s tournament teams – his Tigers, Alabama, and UAB – will be in Spokane, Washington to start March Madness. He said that that distance speaks for itself in regards to their travel compared to other teams in the bracket.
“I mean – Alabama, UAB, and Auburn in Spokane, Washington? Enough said,” said Pearl.

This information very clearly annoyed Pearl. You can see him shaking his head at that news with the media members laughing at his obvious displeasure.”

Each of the three is over 2,000 miles from Spokane. Then it’s over to Boston for Auburn and to LA for bammer.
Lucky Samford , Alabama’s 4th team only has to travel 1,800 miles to Salt Lake City

“Alabama’s only team that won’t be starting their appearance in the NCAA Tournament in the northwest. Instead, the Bulldogs, a No. 13 seed in the Midwest Region, is headed to Salt Lake City, Utah, which is still around 1,800 miles away, to play No. 4 Kansas.”

Ah, bummer. I didn't even look at locales when reviewing the Bracket. I wonder how such things are decided. Until hearing otherwise I blame Sens Potatotown and Britt. You reap what you sow. ;)

I'm guessing they charter a plane to get the teams there, so big whoop. But the time zone might have an effect. Maybe it'll give the west coast Aztecs a little advantage. Spokane may seem an unlikely spot to land a MM event, but it's a big basketball town. In addition to heavy support for the Zags it hosts what it calls the "biggest 3 on 3 basketball tournament in the world" https://www.spokanehoopfest.net/3on3basketball/

I thought the same thing about the team. Bruce Pearl may have a point re the fans who don't get a seat on the charter, though, plus all the ones who will drive a few hundred miles but not travel 2000.

Also WSU, which is in MM this year, is not too far from Spokane. Then, Eastern Washington University fields a basketball team, though it's more likely to play in the Big Sky Conference tourney than MM. Pooor Idaho tries hard ;)

truTV Dayton, OH

16 Howard (18-16, -3.5) >16 Wagner (16-15)
Go Former DC homeys!
Wagner College is in Staten Island, New York - Pete Davidson or Colin Jost at courtside?
Winner is a sacrificial lamb for UNC . . . or the ultimate Cinderella.

I'm not bothering with a bracket this year, so I'm posting wishes rather than predictions.

Charles Barkley Final Four:
AZ
KY
UConn ("sorry, Auburn")
OR!
Final:
AZ > OR! GoChuckGo

GO:

truTV
11 Duquesne (24-11) > 6 BYU (23-10, -9.5)
Already started, Duquesne 24, BYU 20
Bracket buster 71-67. Wow wow wow

2:45 PM CBS
1 North Carolina (27-7, -25.5  ) > 16 Wagner (17-15)
A win won't count in my tally. 90-62, not very nice.

4:00 PM TNT
11 Oregon (23-11, -1.5 :headscratch: ) > 6 South Carolina
Either seeders or bettors are wrong. 87-73!!!

7:10 PM CBS
14 Oakland (Mich, 23-11) > 3 Kentucky (23-9, -13.5)
A loss won't count in my tally.
 80-76, my second UPSET and third lower seed win. I'm 4-0! JackGohlke 10 3-pointers, tied 2nd in MM history, 32 points :-|| Barkley's bracket is busted.

7:25 PM TBS
5 Gonzaga (25-7, -6.5) > 12 McNeese (Louisiana, 30-3)
86-65

7:35 PM truTV
2 Iowa State (27-7, -15.5) > 15 South Dakota State (22-12)
A win won't count in my tally. 82-65  6-0! (4-0 in final tally)

9:40 PM CBS
11 UNC-killer NC State (22-14) > 6 Texas Tech (23-10, -4.5)
Cinderella?

9:55 PM TBS
4 Kansas (22-10, -7.5) > 13 Samford (AL, 29-5)

10:05 PM truTV
7 Washington State (24-9) > 10 Drake (Iowa, 28-6, -1.5)

9:40 PM CBS
11 UNC-killer NC State (22-14) > 6 Texas Tech (23-10, -4.5)
Cinderella? 80-67! Burns is a monster. 3rd UPSET I picked, 4th lower seed win.

9:55 PM TBS
4 Kansas (22-10, -7.5) > 13 Samford (AL, 29-5) 93-89. Cool, but Samford got robbed by the refs near the end.

10:05 PM truTV
7 Loyal Washington State (24-9) > 10 Drake (Iowa, 28-6, -1.5)
66-61, phew, 1st MM win since 2008  4 UPSETS I picked and 4s lower seed win
9-0, 7 that I can count. Whoa, I should have done a bracket. "Less than 1/10th of 1% are still perfect . . . and the perfect ones are lying."

Of course, there were other games. I probably wouldn't be perfect if I'd picked in them.
