Damn, Manziel signs up and the whole effin' league goes under...

:D

Egg - chicken. I have not followed the AAF at all - no articles, haven't watched a game. However, I did wonder if signing Manziel wasn't an indication of their desperation.

They haven't exactly made it easy to watch. All but a couple of games have all been on cable stations not everyone gets. And reporting has been scarce outside of places that actually have teams, and maybe even there. But it seemed to be a workable plan for something like an NFL minor league.

Somehow I managed to never hear of it until last week, or yesterday. First heard was when Google flashed a headline at me about the money man saying he was suspending operations. I didn't click on the article and figured it to about the beginnings of another league. Only found out here that they actually played games.

I like it. I think it is a good idea, and would have been even better when he was like, 12. But I won't ridicule him over it. Hell, he may even set a good example for Bubba Watson, and the other adultish guys still using kids' names.

Cute, but it's fake news. No one would pay for UNC football players. :D

These three women are young. They're powerful. And they just made history

Simone Biles. Coco Gauff. Brigid Kosgei.

You'll want to remember their names. This trio of female athletes just had quite a weekend.

One flipped her way to becoming the most decorated gymnast ever. One served her way to becoming the youngest tennis titlist in 15 years. And one ran really fast for 26.2 miles to smash a world record.

Let's celebrate these remarkable young women in their respective sports.

Simone Biles just earned more medals than any gymnast -- ever

"ranked 313..."
Maybe they should reconsider that ranking. :)
Somewhere between #44 and #7 would be about right.

Wimbledon's 'Manic Monday': 15-year-old sensation Cori 'Coco' Gauff, No. 1 ranked Ash Barty out in 4th round

Awww.
She'll be back.
Yep.
Coco Gauff just became the youngest pro tennis champion in 15 years

Clemson decided they wanted to start a mens rowing team. They rounded up some good ol' boys that fished a lot, bought them some sculls, and figured they'd be off to a championship. But the guys struggled with the boat, never could seem to get the hang of getting it going smoothly across the water. Clemson had a very capable womens team, but the gob's weren't ever going to ask a woman for help in anything, so they struggled on. Finally the coach decided he needed some help. He knew the Ivy League was always good at rowing, so he snuck up to Philadelphia to watch Penn row.

When he got back, the team asked him what he found out. <face smack> "Shee-it, there's supposed to be eight guys rowing and only one guy yelling"

. . . at which point the entire team said, "Screw this," and it had to be disbanded before ever competing. To this day Clemson only has Women's rowing.

NFL correspondent Jane Slater caught her ex cheating via Fitbit: ‘Wish the story wasn’t real’
Jane Slater
@SlaterNFL

An Ex Boyfriend once got me a Fitbit for Christmas. I loved it. We synched up, motivated each other... didn’t hate it until he was unaccounted for at 4am and his physical activity levels were spiking on the app, wish the story wasn’t real.
Jane! My ex husband got caught in an affair because he was wearing the training watch and heartbeat monitor my mom bought him for Christmas - while “running”. It was the under-one-minute heart rate spike that confirmed things for me!
Rookie mistake. ALWAYS TAKE OFF THE FITBIT when you go play Wii U at your buddy's house.
sorry to hear this but you just started a movement. There are thousands now checking their spouses Fitbit.

FYI i see a pretty hilarious Super Bowl commerical coming from this
FitBit didn’t immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s request for comment.

Look for the Coming Soon Tesla stories. Not only does it have cameras everywhere, I can look at my Tesla phone app for the car's location.
