In Memoriam

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

As an actor his Leon the Snowman role was Oscar worthy.

Cute; it wasn't until four years after the D day invasion of Europe that the US military was officially integrated, and even so, one black Army division went ashore and another black Army unit was decorated for its work in getting supplies to the troops that landed. Why do you hate black people? How do know your god isn't black?

And they returned to Jim Crow. America is a better place because Blacks and their allies resisted like Colin Kaepernick is now, but KKK types like 1 FAT CAN will never admit it.

Well, people have always been, and always will be afraid of things they don't understand.

    Donald J. Trump
    @realDonaldTrump

Happy Memorial Day! Those who died for our great country would be very happy and proud at how well our country is doing today. Best economy in decades, lowest unemployment numbers for Blacks and Hispanics EVER (& women in 18years), rebuilding our Military and so much more. Nice!
    "Happy"?

AP FACT CHECK: Trump takes credit for Obama's gains for vets
Twitter Celebrates Obama’s Classy Memorial Day Message After Trump’s Angry, Anti-Dem Rant

    ‏Verified account @BarackObama

On Memorial Day, we remember all those who gave everything for something greater than themselves. It's up to us to not simply reflect on their sacrifice but to honor it with service of our own—and by living out the values they fought for.

By contrast, President Trump kicked off Memorial Day with an early morning rant about impeachment.

“Impeach for what, having created perhaps the greatest Economy in our Country’s history, rebuilding our Military, taking care of our Vets (Choice), Judges, Best Jobs Numbers Ever, and much more? Dems are Obstructionists!” he tweeted early Monday morning, responding to a tweet from the RNC’s Ronna McDaniel that slammed impeachment talk.

“The Dems are getting NOTHING done in Congress! They only want a Do-Over on Mueller!” the president added.

Many Twitter users celebrated Obama’s hopeful message ...
This is how a President tweets on Memorial Day. Miss you.
Thank you, President Obama, for always reminding us what a REAL President sounds like.

Our beloved fallen soldiers certainly fought for the great America that YOU continue to represent.
Thanks for your kind words Mr. President. Today we #RememberTheFallen... and we also remember when we had a real leader.

    We miss you!
... Hours after his angry tweet, Trump tweeted a photo of himself and two members of the military along with the saying, “Land of the free because of the brave.” He captioned the photo with the #MemorialDay hashtag.

Tough for Mugabe; some thought he'd never die. 95 ain't no dive. Meh. Not sure if this goes in the In Memoriam slot but I saw on local tv that the 10th annual Elvis Extravaganza is the 28th of this month and since I've always been a sucker for an extravaganza, I just might have to check this. General admission tickets are $15 or five bucks more for "reserved" seats. I must have missed the last two or three annual Elvis gigs or else just wasn't paying attention.

I saw the Cars in 1978, they were touring their first album. One of my first concerts. They opened for Aerosmith who were at the height of their toxic twins days. Aerosmith sucked big time. The Cars kicked ass!
