don't know whether to blame murray or coach, but why in the hell didn't they down the ball on 1st down with 15 seconds left

and then the receiver catches the ball on the 3 with 3 seconds left - hey mark, tell your players to drop the ball if there are only 3 seconds left and they aren't in the end zone

we southerners grew up hating ND. in the 60s our superior SEC teams got maybe one game, often none, a year on tv and there was ND, every saturday on nbc. enough to make you want to puke

but all in the past after Sat - you can call me a domer or a leprechaun or whatever, just don't ever try to call me a bammer

Now, as to why that's the battle cry of Tigers . . .

can't tell if you really want to know but,
story goes,

solider comes to on a deserted battlefield, as he is making his way through the destruction he finds a baby eagle, raises it, goes to AU and becomes a professor. The eagle is well known on campus as “war eagle”. At an early football game (that would be like way before USC every played football and before we gave Clemson our old uniforms) the cheer from the crowd disturbed the eagle and when he flew up over the field, the crowd shouted “war eagle”

we added the damn sometime later – probably the 60s

a friend of mine started the toilet paper thing at toomers – if you are interested
