Well, given what we know about other Florida politicians (read: Matt Gaetz), DeSantis' transporting people across state lines for nefarious reasons is apparently the norm for them.

I live in the great HATE STATE of Florida.
I have watched Ron Duhsenseless divide people for years for his own personal political ambitions.
His lack of compassion and his abundance of cruelty is only increasing. He offers no real solutions for immigration problems that have festered for decades under multiple presidents of both parties.
CONGRESS needs to be held accountable for not finding an agreed solution but you can be sure there will be more stunts and hate filled speech spewed from this so called governor of the intolerant majority in FLORIDA.

And yet, time and again, it turns out to be far-right politicians like Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fl.), who’s under federal investigation for human trafficking and statutory rape, and now QAnon leaders themselves who face allegations of grooming and child sexual abuse.

Phil Godlewski, a Pennsylvania-based QAnon leader with hundreds of thousands of followers on right-wing social platforms like Telegram and Rumble, sued a local newspaper in 2021 for defamation after the Scranton Times-Tribune mentioned a 2010 indictment against Godlewski for “corruption of a minor” in a profile about him. Now, per a new report from the Daily Beast, Godlewski’s defamation lawsuit has inadvertently exposed the full extent of his disturbing history of grooming and raping a teenage girl, who’s called “B.D.” in court records, over a period of time. More recently, text messages show he pressured a now-adult B.D. to lie about the situation in court....

In 2010, Godlewski was indicted for several charges related to the relationship. But when he reached out to B.D. and begged her to recant her claims, threatening to take his own life if she didn’t, B.D. wrote in her affidavit this month that she then stopped working with law enforcement on the case. As a result, Godlewski was able to plead guilty to a significantly lesser charge of “corruption of a minor” and sentenced to just three months under house arrest.

For over a decade, the story disappeared, and over the course of that decade, Godlewski pursued a highly lucrative career as a professional QAnon conspiracy theorist, peddling multi-level marketing schemes to his nearly one million followers. Earlier this year, he purchased a $1.7 million house.

In February 2021, after the local paper published its profile on Godlewski. Outraged by its allusion to his past, Godlewski sued the paper, managing to crowdfund $26,000 for his lawsuit against the Times-Tribune. But the lawsuit has since ignited a chain of events that’s exposed Godlewski....

It’s a gutting, abhorrent story, and one that certainly flies in the face of recent months of right-wing lies about liberal, predatory, LGBTQ child “groomers.” But between the aforementioned federal investigation of Gaetz and similar allegations against other far-right, QAnon-adjacent politicians (ahem, Google search “Lauren Boebart husband bowling alley,” please), I wish this story were more surprising.

Germany arrests dozens suspected of planning far-right coup

Authorities in Germany arrested 25 people on Wednesday who are suspected of planning to violently overthrow the government in a far-right extremist plot.

More than 3,000 police officers, including special forces, made 130 early morning searches across 11 of Germany's 16 federal states in one of the biggest counterterrorism operations in the country's history.

Suspects from the so-far unnamed group include a nobleman with a historic royal title and various armed forces veterans. It is centered on the so-called Reichsbürger, or Reich Citizens, movement which is motivated by conspiracy theories about the role and legitimacy of the modern German state....

"The members of the association are aware that this project can only be realized through the use of military means and violence against state representatives," the prosecutor's office said in a statement early Wednesday. It said there was "the suspicion that individual members of the association have made concrete preparations to forcibly invade" the German lower house of parliament, the Bundestag, "with a small armed group."

Reichsbürger activists and members of other closely-related groups commonly take part in protests against Covid-19 restrictions. The pandemic was a rallying cause for far-right actors across Europe, adding to baseless accusations of a wider government plot to control citizens.

Prosecutors also said the group believes that "the Alliance," a group of national governments and intelligence services, including those of the United States and Russia, is active in Germany and about to launch an attack on the "deep state."

... Authorities said among those arrested was "Heinrich XIII P. R," named in German media as Prince Heinrich XIII of the House of Reuss, which ruled parts of Germany until 1918. NBC News has not verified his identity.

He is considered to be a future head of state after an insurrection and he heads the group's ruling council which has met to discuss the planned takeover, prosecutors said.

Prince Heinrich, who still uses his title despite its constitutional irrelevance, is accused of contacting representatives of the Russian Federation both in Russia and Germany in the hope of winning support for the overthrow of the Berlin government....
