Hillary may have been sloppy with her server, but the big elephant that whutaboutters are ignoring is that she was sloppy with information that she was entitled to have and access as Secretary of State. Big thing with Trump is that once he wasn't President*, he had no legal right to have or access the documents. That in itself is enough to render totally irrelevant any comparison to b-b-but whutabout Hillary's emails.
She was sloppy conveying information on her private server.

No classified documents were involved. She didn't have them in her possession.
Weren't there a couple of documents that were classified long after she sent them in an email?

As per typical the right ignored the time sequence.
And the facts.

Trump Wanted Courthouse Protests but Instead Got MAGA Misfits

Image

... if protesters sought to show unity and organization, what they accomplished was a disorganized display of MAGA spectacles, flaunting a pig’s head on a pike and getting the street shut down over an abandoned television.

Trump is scheduled to be arraigned at 3 p.m. on Tuesday for 37 counts related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents. On social media, Trump called on fans to come to Miami for his court appearance. “SEE YOU IN MIAMI ON TUESDAY!!!” he wrote. But turnout was modest on Tuesday morning, despite efforts by pro-Trump figures like rapper Forgiato Blow to gin up attendance for a 10 a.m. rally....

Osmany Estrada, 40, proudly donned an American and Cuban flag as he paraded around the courthouse with a pig’s head on a pike, posing for photos with anyone who asked, but mostly dodging TV crews that swarmed him.

Like many others who weathered blistering heat and humidity to sing Trump’s praises, Estrada said he was confident the former president would quickly be found not guilty. He said he became even more certain of a Trump victory when Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee, was selected to preside over the case.

“She’s one of us,” Estrada said, referencing Cannon’s Cuban heritage....
 Your favorite Floridians.
Estrada, who says he came to Miami on a raft from Cuba in 1992, was one of the first protesters to arrive Tuesday morning, sticking around as the crowd of Trump supporters grew into the hundreds by 1 p.m.—a far cry from the thousands expected by Trump and Miami cops.
Opps.
Until noon, protesters were outnumbered by journalists and dozens of cops who carried assault rifles as they circled the area.

Estrada said he didn’t have a good reason for carrying around a pig’s head on a pike, but confirmed the dead animal was real.

“Sometimes you just have to be bold,” he said.
:wtf:
Vivek Ramaswamy, a longshot Republican presidential candidate, gave a Tuesday morning speech in which he pledged (if elected president) to pardon Trump....

Dipshits: "What about Biden having classified documents in his garage!?"

Biden's attorney discovered the docs at the Penn Biden Center and immediately alerted the proper federal authorities so they could be retreived. The FBI spent 13 hours searching his residence, and found six items containing classified markings. None "Top Secret", which is the most confidential of documents. Biden and his attorneys cooperated with NARA. And Garland even appointed a special counsel (who's a Republican, no less) to investigate the classified document incident.

The situation with Trump is far, far more sinister, in that Trump and his assistant knowingly misled Trump's attorney who was trying to comply with the request for the classified documents. Trump was recorded explaining that the documents he has are classified and he shouldn't have them. Not to mention the insecure handling of some of our nations most crucial national defense secrets.

But most people won't read the indictment.

Also, the FBI search of Biden's residence was by invitation. No warrant needed and no docs were ever subpoenaed.

Exactly. Trump was given the same leeway in returning the documents. But he explicitly chose to mislead and hide the fact that he had top secret and classified documents.

He could've complied and returned them and everything wouldve been ok.

Rachel Maddow Spots Trump's Most 'Personally Embarrassing' Part Of Indictmen

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow said Tuesday’s arraignment on 37 federal charges wasn’t the only bad news for Donald Trump.

The former president, she noted, had warned that his arrest would lead to “the biggest protest we have ever had” and predicted that the people of the country wouldn’t stand for it.

“Turns out the people of the United States would stand for it,” Maddow said, noting there were no mass protests in Miami, just as there were few supporters outside the site of his arrest in New York in March.

“There’s no shame in not having people protest your arrest and indictment,” she said. “Except when you have begged people to, and told people to, and in fact promised publicly that people would.”

That, she said, is “personally embarrassing” for Trump....

GOP rep accuses DOJ of setting trap to imprison Trump supporters: ‘They want J6 again’

Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) has accused the Justice Department of setting a trap to imprison supporters of former President Trump, who has called for protests in response to his latest indictment over allegedly mishandling classified documents....

“My fellow conservatives, the DOJ/FBI doesn’t expect to imprison Trump, they expect to imprison you. They want J6 again, in Miami and in your city and in mine. They want MAGA conservatives to react to this perimeter probe and in doing so, set yourselves up for targeted persecution and further entrapment,” Higgins said in a Sunday release from his office.

“They want to intercept a busload of conservatives en route to protest and create conflicts during the stop. They are hoping to provoke conservative Americans. Don’t fall for the trap,” the Louisiana lawmaker said, adding “don’t become an incarcerated pawn in the agenda driven DOJ/FBI strategy to oppress conservatives across America.” ...

Rhetorical question since right wingers aren't required to be rational, but just wondering: I, as a liberal, don't feel obligated to relate to or defend the fringes of my side - why is it that what one would think are "normal" conservatives are defending and making excuses for their looniest of loons?

Opps. Scary probably answer: "normal" conservatives ARE the loonies of loons. Damn.

Donald Trump’s Indictment Has A 'But Her Emails' Section
The former president's attacks on Hillary Clinton in 2016 are now evidence against him.

In 2016, Donald Trump rode to the White House by vigorously criticizing his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, as “corrupt” and “crooked” amid an investigation into classified materials kept on a private email server during her time as secretary of state.

“Lock her up,” his adoring crowds chanted.

But now the shoe is on the other foot. Trump’s attacks on Clinton have come back to bite him as he himself is indicted over his handling of classified documents. His words are even featured in the indictment in a special “But her emails!” style section.

On a page titled “TRUMP’s Public Statements on Classified Information,” the new indictment highlights excerpts from Trump’s campaign trail speeches in 2016 about the importance of protecting classified information and enforcing the law. These statements serve as evidence that the former president seemed to know that mishandling classified information is a serious crime.

“In my administration I’m going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information,” Trump said on Aug. 18, 2016, as the indictment notes. “No one will be above the law.”

“We also need to fight this battle by collecting intelligence and then protecting, protecting our classified secrets. … We can’t have someone in the Oval Office who doesn’t understand the meaning of the word confidential or classified,” Trump said on Sept. 6, 2016.

“[O]ne of the first things we must do is to enforce all classification rules and to enforce all laws relating to the handling of classified information,” Trump is quoted as saying on Sept. 7, 2016.

“We also need the best protection of classified information,” Trump said on Sept. 19, 2016.

“Service members here in North Carolina have risked their lives to acquire classified intelligence to protect our country,” Trump said on Nov. 3, 2016.
