Traffic Nightmares

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Traffic Nightmares

Unread post by O Really »

So almost exactly 40 years ago (June 28, 1983) a bridge on I-95 in Connecticut crashed.

I was doing some work in Stamford and Greenwich and went across that bridge a couple of times on the day before it crashed around midnight. Traffic was pretty heavy that day (as always) and if the bridge had crashed during the day there would have been a lot killed.

And i-95 has now crashed again, in one of the worst places it could happen around Philadelphia. For anybody just passing through, they'll probably use either the I-276/476 or the I-295 to loop around. A bit out of the way but a reasonable alternative. But for people living/working anywhere around that part of town, including the NJ side, it's gonna be major misery for a long time.

Both articles are very clearly stated.
Especially the 2nd one is having all the details of that time.

Yeah, LennaBeauty isn't a live person, but her AI's English isn't very good either.
