you just can't fix stupid

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

This shows that the military top brass doesn't care.

Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, 32, of New Jersey, an Army reservist, was know as a proud nazi for years. He grew a hitler stash, sported a hitler haircut, walked like hitler and wore that hitler grimace. He was the real deal. To show their concern, the military gave little hitler a security clearance and were silent about his looking and talking about hitler.

It was until after he stormed the Capitol that they dropped his security clearance.

His defense was hilarious, "he didn't know Congress used the Capitol"

... I know this sounds idiotic, but I’m from New Jersey,” Hale-Cusanelli told jurors when he said he didn't know Congress met at the Capitol. “I feel like an idiot, it sounds idiotic, and it is.”
Whack9 must be sooo proud.
... "A student of history and government who had previously explained the intricacies of Presidential election procedure to his friends, Hale-Cusanelli falsely testified at trial that he did not know that: (a) 'Congress' sat in the Capitol building; (b) the Electoral College Certification Proceeding was taking place in the building; and (c) when he entered the Capitol, members of Congress were still there, having fled and hidden from the mob," they wrote. "Hale-Cusanelli lied on the stand." ...

A cruise ship passenger found a hidden camera that had filmed over 150 people changing or using the bathroom. A man was arrested after the FBI said video showed him setting it up.

... Security personnel removed the camera and located a memory card, on which they found hours worth of footage that included more than 150 people using the bathroom. Some victims were changing and were naked on the recording. About 40 of them appeared to be minors, some as young as 4 or 5 years old, the complaint said.

But the video also showed the suspect setting up the camera and later adjusting its position so that it would focus on the toilet. Within hours security personnel on the ship interviewed passenger Jeremy Froias, who admitted to placing the camera, according to the complaint.
Opps.
Froias was charged with video voyeurism, or recording an individual in a private area without their consent, and the attempted possession of child exploitation material....

Here's an entertaining set of memes where somebody totally didn't get the joke and instead mostly made a literal response. Reminded me of useless - may even have been useless responding to some of them.

Republican Senator Makes Baffling Claim About Reality During Bizarre Rant
Sen. Markwayne Mullin's outburst caused his colleagues to erupt in laughter.

Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) had an awkward moment during a committee hearing on Wednesday when he outright rejected reality during a combative exchange on children’s education.

Mullin was ticked over a children’s book on racism called “Our Skin: A First Conversation About Race” and said it’s better to teach children the lyrics to “Jesus Loves Me” instead.

He interrupted and spoke over the panelists as they tried to answer his question during the hearing held by the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, which is chaired by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

One panelist’s attempt to reply led to a memorable exchange.

“First, it is important that we teach Jesus, and Jesus is what we teach,” said Cheryl Morman, president of the Virginia Alliance for Family Child Care Associations. “But the reality is―”

She was cut off by Mullin, but Sanders interjected.

“Could she answer the question, please,” Sanders said.

Mullin was unswayed.

“No, I don’t want reality,” he blurted out.

The room erupted in laughter.

“Got it on tape,” someone said amid the laughter.

“Misspoke,” Mullin replied with a shrug:

Why didn't Jesus love him enough to keep him from misspeaking so stupidly on this and so many other things?

Note who is beside Mullin and nodding approvingly, Tommy Tuberville (R-AL).

Woman Enters MRI Machine With a Gun, Gets Shot in Butt
The 57-year-old woman denied having any firearms before entering the MRI, according to an adverse event report filed to the FDA.

... As anyone who’s ever worked with or gotten an MRI exam should know, the magnet powering an MRI is always on. And patients are expressly told not to bring anything potentially magnetic like metals into the room to avoid these kinds of incidents. According to the report, the woman received a standard screening for these objects and explicitly said no when asked if she was carrying any firearms. It’s not known whether she had a permit for the gun, however.

It isn’t just guns that can be dangerous while next to an MRI—people have gotten seriously hurt and killed by wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, and even metallic butt plugs. Bullets are a relatively less common threat, but not unprecedented either. Earlier this January, a Brazilian man died of a gunshot to the stomach triggered by an MRI machine while he was assisting his mother (he reportedly also denied having a weapon beforehand, according to medical staff)....
Darwin predicted MRI machines.

I guessed Texas. Nope, it was …
The incident occurred in Waukesha, which is in the Milwaukee metropolitan area, in June 2023.

Stay tuned - will she blame the hospital?

The lawyers will probably tell her forget it.
There will have been prominent signage at the MRI room regardless of what she whines that staff didn't do.
Odds are that the hospital bans guns, anyhow.
