75-year-old farmer takes on Monsanto.

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

75-year-old farmer takes on Monsanto.

Don't worry. Obama's got Monsanto's back. We can't let the little guy -- or the American people -- win. We have to let Monsanto keep their chokehold on the supply of seeds that farmers use to feed America and the world.

USDA data show that since the introduction of GE seed, the average cost of soybean seed to plant one acre has risen by a dramatic 325 percent, from $13.32 to $56.58. Similar trends exist for corn and cotton seeds: cotton seeds spiked 516 percent from 1995-2011 and corn seed costs rose 259 percent over the same period.
And the new seeds have led to heavier use of pesticides and lower yields, in some cases. But Monsanto's making a profit.

I wonder how his lawyer(s) will stack up against the crack team of highly experienced legal hotshots Monsanto will send to the plate.
