So - solely on the basis of financial burden on the taxpayer, what difference does it make if an employee of the US government is an accountant in the Navy or an accountant for the EPA? If you took off the job titles and talked about federal jobs with 20-year retirement eligibility, lifetime health insurance, discounts on purchases through government stores, and the ability to double-dip after that, how many Republicans would support it?
