Worst rendition ever of O Canada, and up against a Metallica/Jimi Hendrix version of Star Spangled Banner.

I liked Metallica, and the expression on the flag-holding cop's face is priceless.
Tenille Arts was pretty lame.

When a Canadian friend could not remember the word to O Canada, I told her to tell her parents that they didn't raise her right. Maybe a month later I got an email from her father, who I didn't know at all, expressing his shame an assuring me that he would take corrective measures. This may be the most Canadian thing that's ever happened to me.

In preparation for Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night, the Toronto Raptors tweeted an image in which their players are standing on the Golden Gate Bridge to signify the trip to Oracle Arena. Unfortunately, it's actually the Bay Bridge you cross to get to Oracle, not the Golden Gate Bridge.

Twitter users had some fun at the Raptors' expense for the blunder.

:D Plus, why cross any bridge? Oakland has an airport. No way did they land way over at SFO.

She was off to a bad start from the first improvised-notes line, and got worse from there. And then she threw in "planet" in place of "land" toward the end.

Well, good for the Raptors, Toronto, and Canada.
Maybe the last game in Oakland. :(
Maaaybe KD comes back, but hard to imagine him winning 3 games for GSW.

Only one team has come back from 3-1 in finals. Ironically, the team that blew it was the Warriors.

Kevin Durant practicing with Warriors ahead of Game 5

... While Golden State coach Steve Kerr did not confirm Durant would play in Game 5 at Toronto, he told reporters he was encouraged by the small forward’s progress and will have a better sense of his status after he works out with some of the team’s younger players on Sunday....

What a strange, flat finish. Curry's going through the motions on the post game interview too.

Flat for Toronto, exciting for GSW fans.

Too bad about KD, 11 points in 12 minutes then done for the season. Free agent now, maybe done with GSW.

Back to Oakland for the team's last game ever there.

5 road wins in 6 games.

Good game, good series, too bad about Kay, but I ain't mad about the result. Good for Canada.

I'm 2-4 games in the Finals.
I finished 7-3 games, 2-0 series in the Conference Finals.
I finished 16-9 games, 4-0 series in the Semis.
I finished Round One 24-8 in games, 6-0 for series picks (2 no preference).
I'm a total 49-24 games! 12-1 for series picks! 2 of them underdogs.

So do the Raptors get invited to have cold burgers at the White House? And if so, would they go? I'll bet they get a better celebration in Ottawa.

How big was the loss?

Kevin Durant finished the playoffs as the only player in NBA history to average 30 PPG on 50-40-90 shooting in a single postseason (min. 5 games).

Don't know why it's comparable, other than just to taunt the neighbor country's President*, but Canadian papers are reporting that the crowd at the Raptor parade was "three times the size of Trump's inauguration."

And I'm pretty sure the honorees had bigger hands.

So the Raptors adopted a highly popular and successful slogan, seen on flags and signs all over, "We the North."
Created by a PR firm with the intention of building regional solidarity and team identification. Nevermind that Portland is technically more north than Toronto, Canada is "the North." The navy base up in Nunavut adopted it to say "We the Real North" and Drake's been using/promoting the slogan. What's not explained anywhere, however, is whether the slogan could be interpreted to have a comma, thus saying "We, the North" or if it's interpreted as certain ethnic groups might say it as in "We (be) the North." If it's the latter, I'm surprised somebody hasn't claimed it to be either racist or cultural appropriation.

Cat quoted but didn't say nothing.
Trump: “We had the safest border in the history of our country - or at least recorded history. I guess maybe a thousand years ago it was even better.”
