Go Golden State (#1) > Portland (#3), but I won't hate it if Portland wins.
Close one in the Curry-Curry series, nice comeback. Golden State 2-0 without KD  , on to Portland.

Report: Kevin Durant out rest of Warriors-Rockets series

Ut-oh. Or not, great team either way.
Kevin Durant ruled out of Game 3, 4 of Western Conference finals, 'not close' to returning from calf injury

Milwaukee (#1, best regular season record in the NBA) will be well-rested for whoever.

Go Toronto (#2) > Milwaukee (#1)
Toronto had it, then collapsed in the 4th quarter. Gotta wonder if it was fatigue.
Milwaukee 1-0. It's my least favorite of the 4 remaining, but I don't hate it. That's a bennie of winning every series, the unliked teams are gone.
Toronto may have blown its sole shot in Game 1. Not even close, Milwaukee up 2-0. Next 2 games in Toronto.

Another huge 2nd half comeback, Golden State 3-0. No one has ever recovered from 0-3 in an NBA series, but I'd like Portland to win at least one.

Oh well. Another 4th quarter comeback! Golden State wins in OT, sweep, will get some rest.
I'm 4-3 in games, 1-0 in series in the Conference Finals.
Warriors sweep Blazers to become first team to reach 5 straight NBA Finals in 53 years

... Game, set, series: Warriors, who became the first NBA team to advance to a fifth straight Finals since the Boston Celtics of the 1950s and ‘60s. They completed the sweep without Kevin Durant (calf strain), Andre Iguodala (same) and DeMarcus Cousins (torn quad). As ever, they had all they needed in Stephen Curry (game-high 37 points), Draymond Green (another triple-double) and Klay Thompson, whose defense on Lillard down the stretch proved the difference....

Oh my, Toronto up 3-2, first time 'best record in the NBA' Milwaukee has lost 3 in a row all season, back to Toronto. O Really may have to choose between his new homes of Canada and CA.

I think it's cool if the Raptors get to the finals, but I've been a Warriors admirer for a long time. I follow NBA about as much as I follow MLB. Doesn't mean much until the Championship series. On a bright note, however, BC plays Edmonton in the CFL pre-season opener on Sunday.

Go:

Golden State (1) > Los Angeles (0) and everyone else
Toronto (0) > Orlando (1) and everyone else in the Eastern Conference
Portland > Oklahoma City and everyone else except Golden State
Yep. :happy-cheerleaderkid:

I'm 7-3 games, 2-0 series in the Conference Finals.
I finished 16-9 games, 4-0 series in the Semis.
I finished Round One 24-8 in games, 6-0 for series picks (2 no preference).
I'm a total 47-20 games! 12-0 for series picks! 2 of them underdogs.

Daaayum, I really coulda made some big money gambling.

Go Warriors, but how can I be mad if the Raptors prevail?

I was thinking it's hard not to like a team that has a guy like Steph Curry on it - particularly in contrast to the Balls, for example, but it's also hard not to like a team that has hung in there to accomplish what the Raptors did in their first trip to the finals. Either way, it'll be an opportunity for a win for the good guys.

The playoffs are long enough, why a 5 day break? Game 1 on 5/30 in Toronto, then a 3 day break while still in Toronto  . Surprise to me - Toronto has the homecourt advantage by virtue of having a better record by 1 game.

Report: Kevin Durant expected to return in Game 3 or 4 of NBA Finals

All the chatter about the Warriors being better without Kevin Durant?

It’s over.

Golden State lost Game 1 of the NBA Finals to the Raptors yesterday. Suddenly, Steph & Depth no longer looks like the answer. Durant appears needed.

Though he’ll almost certainly miss Game 2 Sunday, he could return soon....
In this case it's not crazy to wonder if the team is better without its best player. Whatever, I'm happy for him that he'll be back in it.

In preparation for Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night, the Toronto Raptors tweeted an image in which their players are standing on the Golden Gate Bridge to signify the trip to Oracle Arena. Unfortunately, it's actually the Bay Bridge you cross to get to Oracle, not the Golden Gate Bridge.

Twitter users had some fun at the Raptors' expense for the blunder.
