Good news/kindness only (please) thread

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

It needs fake diamond studs to make it complete.

If we don't have a beer thread, "Good News" is as good as any for the best beers of the winter, topped by our own Oskar Blues Ten FIDY - a truly wonderful stout that more than lives up to its hype.

Beer Thread

You started it, and were the last one to post to it just 2 months ago. That stout must be really, really good. :P
I thought I had, but I only show threads at 2 weeks or occasionally 30. Too lazy to dig further. Apparently nobody cares to discuss beer but me and maybe JTA.
But yes, it is really really good.

I've cheated on my long time partner Bud Light and got this stuff called Leinenkugel Orange Shandy. Good stuff. When I drink it I put on my top hat and monocle on and stick my pinky finger out to make sure the experience is complete.

Just tried that for the first time last Saturday. Nice, I'll try the top hat, monocle and pinky finger next time. Is that a Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin thing?
That's a JTA thing. Anytime I'm feeling fancy and drunk I break out the top hat and cane and call myself big pimpin' and start laying down the rhymes.

I haven't had Leinie's Orange Shandy, but I've had their Summer Shandy - lemon. Not bad for near beer. Leinie's real stuff, however, is quite good.

I myself have been faithful to my friend regular Bud for many years; when I reach terminal velocity, I generally don my tuxedo (with top hat) and hop onto my bulldozer, which has no muffler, and whirl around the back yard on it. 8-)

WOW

I'm overwhelmed. Retirement has a learning curve, and is taking some adjustment, but I am adapting and trying to find new things to do. Have been reading a lot, playing the piano, and may try to learn how to play a Chapman Stick, although my I have minimal experience with guitar, but that may be an advantage since they are so radically different.

Thanks for your kind thought. It made my day.
