... No, the only news we get here is about SDSU. I'm not sure there are other teams that will be playing. ...
Air Force 60 @5 SDSU 73

:---P
Quarterfinals.

Semifinals, Today 9 pm ET: #5 SDSU (17–1, 29–1) vs Boise State (11–7, 20–11), CBSS ( :x )
Championship – Saturday, March 7, 2:30 pm ET

Go Aztecs. The way this nutty season has been going a #1 or at least a #2 seed ain't out of reach.

The last couple of games have been a bit scary. Sure they came back, but Air Force hasn't been all that good during the year. And they've thumped the BlueField people twice already this season. Hopefully they can do it once more. It's been fun following them this season. Local sports news has done a lot of player interviews, features, etc. so you get familiar with them. But they've been playing in a smallish pond all season. We'll see what happens if they're ready for prime time.

Boise St 68, #5 SDSU 81

:---P :happy-cheerleaderkid:

San Diego State (30-1!) remains the nation's only unbeaten team in road or neutral-site games (16-0). Every other team has at least two such defeats.

UT St fell to SDSU 77 - 68 in Logan, 80 - 68 @SDSU.

2:00 PM
#1 Kansas < @Texas Tech 66-62 Crap, lost another close one, the likely overall #1 seed is vulnerable, though.

2:30 PM
#8 Seton Hall @#11 Creighton 60-77, rout, I did not pick a preference since their ranking is so close, but the higher rank losing is slightly better for my teams  .

Maybe they'll use the loss for incentive.

11:00 PM
Stanford < @#13 Oregon Yep, 67-80
My preferences went 7-6 on the day. Meh.

:) Probably not.
... 23-6 record. I want to see the Panthers get a shot in the tournament because I’ll always err on the side of the mid-major, but I think that’s a long shot....

75-97. Uncaring neoplacebo is one game away from an automatic NCAA bid, has a bubble pick chance otherwise.

Not sure that I understand beating Tennessee by 22 drops us another 3 points in the polls, but then I'm not that sure about a team with only 6 losses being #20.

Oh well, at least basketball can have playoffs.

Tennessee (17-14) is mediocre, you lost to mediocre Texas A&M (16-14) since the last poll, and you've gone 3-4 since 2/15. As for your season, it does seem surprising but I've read that it's a weak nonconference sched on top of a mostly weak conference - not my opinion, I'm not looking far enough into it to make comparisons.

7:00 pm ET no TV
No. 10 Coastal Carolina < No. 6 Appalachian State
2020 Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
New Orleans, Louisiana
Second round, my Appalachian State (11–9, 17–14) had a 1st round bye

7:00 PM ET ESPN
Wofford < East Tennessee
Southern Conference Championship game
neoplacebo doesn't know how excited he should be.

7:00 PM ET no TV
No. 1 North Dakota State > No. 4 Oral Roberts
Summit League Men's Basketball Tournament
Semifinals, right-wing god is going down.

AP Rankings

1 Kansas Jayhawks 28-3 Ugh.
2 Gonzaga Bulldogs 29-2  Go Sister O!
3 Dayton Flyers 29-2 #1 seed, to Dayton?! Good for them.
4 Florida State Ugh.
5 Baylor Bears 26-4 Ugh.
6 San Diego State Aztecs 30-2 Down from #5, coulda been worse.
7 Creighton Bluejays 24-7
8 Kentucky Wildcats 25-6 Ugh.
9 Michigan State Spartans 22-9 Double ugh.
10 Duke Blue Devils 25-6 Up from #12  .
11 Villanova Wildcats 24-7 989 14
12 Maryland Terrapins 24-7 Down from #9 after losing 3 out of the last 5, coulda been worse.
13 Oregon Ducks 24-7

(20) Auburn Tigers 25-6 Down from #17.

(28) East Tennessee State Buccaneers 29-4 Go neoplacebo!

Still zero votes for Clemson, UNC or Miami, worse than the Liberty Flames, Richmond Spiders (cool team name), UNI Panthers (O Really's favorite), Vermont Catamounts and Belmont Bruins  .

NET Rankings
Used for seeding and bubble teams.

1 Kansas 28-3
2 Gonzaga 29-2
3 Dayton 29-2
4 San Diego State 30-2 Still in #1 seed position, but its tournament is over, while others will improve their position.
5 Baylor 26-4
6 Duke 25-6 #2 seed? Cool.
7 Michigan State 22-9
8 Louisville 24-7
9 BYU 24-7
10 Florida State 26-5
11 Creighton 24-7
12 Oregon 24-7

18 Maryland 24-7 Ouch, obviously the AP is superior :D .

23 Colorado 21-10
24 Wisconsin 21-10
25 Michigan 19-12

No Auburn ranking still, that sucks.
