The Cinema Thread

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

I remember loving going to the drive-in when I was a kid, because it meant being able to play on the various equipment in the lot - mainly the platform go round - in the dark. Don't remember actually watching any of the movies, but I was impressed by the huge screen.

My 1st movie was at a drive-in. I have no idea why my parents took 5, 7 and 9 year olds to see Ben Hur. Maybe the religion outweighed the violence.
I loved the excitement.

The Post (2017)

   for Spielberg, the actors and the movie.

:-|| :-|| :-|| for the real life people, including at the NYT, and especially Daniel Ellsberg.

Democracy needs heroes, and all who fought in Vietnam deserved them.

FXM. It'll probably run again over the next month or two or more.

Ok movie, not great. It's sort of felt flat and uninspired.
