Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Ron just eliminated all online classes from public schools in Florida.

A Florida man running for US Congress has gone full bore nutjob. He'll probably be elected.

He's an independent and has qualified for the Nov ballot.

He may be too wingnutty to get any votes, but he can only hurt the Repug nominee and the district isn't solid red.

A Florida jogger...

Florida jogger finds human head by road during morning run, police say

The jogger thought that s/he was leading the race, but someone else was a head.

Comments:
Nevertheless, that individual doesn’t have to look over his shoulder anymore
We're gonna need a wall to keep Floridians in their place...
Checked in the mirror this morning,
it's not mine
when will people learn not to litter

What is the mathematical probability of a man being wrong about every single thing he has ever said?
You underestimate Gaetz's value. He's as valuable as someone who is always right. When he says, "cut the blue wire" you know without a doubt you cut the red wire.

https://www.tampabay.com/news/2020/07/2 ... -arrested/

"Jae Passmore called for a moment of silence. It was June 27, six days after a pickup truck driver swore at protesters demonstrating at a Hyde Park Village intersection, accelerated over a median and struck the community organizer."

"A St. Petersburg police spokeswoman said “we have not encountered incidents where motorists have been at fault.”'

Of course not.

"But incidents of motorists driving into protesters have become increasingly common over the past five years, said a terrorism researcher who’s been tracking cases. He has recorded at least 75 incidents across the nation over the past two months."

"On June 7 in Pensacola, an SUV driver forced his way through a line of protesters, knocked one onto his hood and carried him across all three miles of the Pensacola Bay Bridge. The protester, Jason Uphaus, was arrested on charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct — police said he damaged a side mirror — but the driver, Nathan Matusz, was not charged."

1st I've heard of this, but then I don't read Gannett or watch the right wing local news.

Not long ago, TN tried to pull a stunt like this but the proposed bill did not advance. The GOP is just getting worse all the time with their flirtation with fascism. Assholes.,,,,,trump really brings out the seedy white underbelly they used to try to hide.

This story about a man in Oregon is from the Miami Herald; guess the paper knows he's a Florida man at heart. And he loves him some second Amendment more than anything.

Lincoln City is on the 101 on the Oregon coast. We'll be going through there in a few weeks. Good thing we weren't planning on staying there - that guy is probably not the only idiot around.

Semi-serious question: Why are these Repug idiots so sure that only Dems will (a)use mail-in (b) mess up ballots (c) mail ballots late (d) won't vote because of logistical hurdles...yada?

And if more Dems are requesting mail ballots than Repugs, why is Trump encouraging Florida voters to use mail-in while Scott/DeSantis are trying to get more tossed?

They aren't so sure of that, it's a response to poor polling. At the least it's a setup for excusing losses and saving face. At worst it's an excuse for rejecting the results and forcing a constitutional crisis.

It's all about the option to reject the results.
