Døds, also known as Death Diving, continues to amaze the crowds. This global internet phenomenon sees the top male and female athletes battle it out for the world title in Oslo, Norway.

Death Diving

Death Diving, or Døds in Norwegian, is an amateur diving belly flop jumping competition managed by Det Internasjonale Dødseforbundet (The International Døds Federation). The World Championship is performed from a platform of 10-14 meters in height. There are separate competitions for Classic and Freestyle. In the Classic event, competitors are to fly horizontally with their arms and legs extended until they hit the water. Competitors curl into a fetal position just before entering the water, breaking the surface tension with their feet and hands or knees and elbows to avoid serious injury; dives are judged on how long the diver holds the original pose. In Freestyle Døds, the competitors do various tricks during the air travel, hence the name. The sport is not registered as a discipline in the Norwegian Swimming Federation. Det Internasjonale Dødseforbundet (literally The International Døds Federation) was founded January 1st 2012.

The numerous adventures of a friendly staff at a country veterinarian practice in 1930s to 1940s Yorkshire. A remake of the 1978-1990 series. Taken from the autobiographical books by James Herriot.

I've only watched Episode 3, but looks good. It's nice recalling the books I loved as a kid.

Yes, it's very good once you get to know the characters. It's a re-make of the original series, but everything is true to the stories and characters. You can go back and stream episodes 1 and 2 from PBS. They're worth the time.

William Petersen and Jorja Fox are reunited and, yes, it feels so good.

The actors who first starred together on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” in the early aughts are back together for “CSI: Vegas,” premiering Oct. 6 on CBS....

I'm excited, but there's also a good chance that it will be disappointing. I never could stand the Miami and NYC versions.

Not bad, I'll keep watching for now. It seems to be staying true to the original's science-focused ensemble motif, unlike the arrogant "star" focused non-realism of Miami and NY.

... Since the start of the Mike & Molly series, McCarthy has lost an estimated 75 lb (35 kg).

I really noticed when "Sean Spicer" was Sean Spicer size rather than Melissa McCarthy size.

In any case, I saw one story about the attack that stated Sinclair stock went down, "Sinclair shares declined about 3.3% in afternoon trading."

Which makes me wonder... are some of these ransomware attacks also linked to pre-attack purchasing of targeted company's stock, followed by post-attack dump of stock in "short sale" mode? Such a strategy could result in big profits even if the target doesn't pay up.

Of course, it might make it easier for the authorities to pinpoint the perp, too.
