In Memoriam

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

... Oppenheimer is famous for saying:
https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Robert_Oppenheimer
We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita: Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and, to impress him, takes on his multi-armed form and says, "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.

-- Interview about the Trinity explosion, first broadcast as part of the television documentary The Decision to Drop the Bomb (1965), produced by Fred Freed, NBC White Paper; the translation is his own.
I may be wrong. I though it was Oppenheimer who said something like that. I more often than not say something similar when I spill something or something weird happens.
"Now I am become Weird, the stomper of worlds."

What hath my hominy wrought?

Yeah, I thought it was something like that. He knew it was heavy duty and was worried if he or anybody else was up to it. It was sort of like me saying "man, I wouldn't do that shit if I was you" and then they did it anyway.

Met him in the 1980s while I was a peace and freedom activist/lobbyist in Montana, big honor for me. RIP

 Pussy projection, as usual. YOU are the one that's so triggered that you can't even manage to ignore. Then, the ease with which I can get you to reply nearly every time belies your all caps desperate, "NOT MY PROBLEM!" You even start threads just to whine like a toddler about me, ones that no one ever posts to besides you. Finally, you are so obsessed and butthurt that I appear in each of your posts, regardless of content.

Poor thing.

Interestingly, I just read a detailed article on Ms. White, about her career and philosophy.

She was certainly a trooper.

Or, perhaps she saw a naked Neo prancing around outside her bedroom window peeping in, and she had a coronary?
