Reckon he'll make 8 ft?
Idk. At 15 he might just grow a couple of inches and then put on muscle from here on.

tallest teenager in the world
At 15 years old, Olivier Rioux stands at 7 feet, 5 inches tall

Now he's searchable. We'll check on him in 3 or 4 years.

Ouch, 62-63 vs 17-10, 5th SEC, unranked Gators. 24-3 Auburn could drop to #3 behind 23-2 Arizona.

#1 1st WCC, 22-2 @Gonzaga plays 18-9, 3rd WCC, unranked Santa Clara tonight.
#3 1st PAC12 @Arizona plays 17-9, 4th PAC12, unranked Oregon tonight.
#9 @Duke is beating unranked FSU 58-44 with 15" left.

NCAA Tournament will boil down to these 8 teams. Here's why Tennessee, Auburn aren't among them

Ouch, singled out in the headline and listed first of the:
Teams that won't win national title.
Oh, the humanity!
:P

Teams I like in Joe Sullivan's top 8:
Arizona
Duke
Gonzaga
Wisconsin
UCLA

Go MM!

Too bad about Auburn.

Good riddance:
Purdue
Michigan State
Tennessee
Baylor

Nothing new about that and who the fuck is Joe Sullivan?
I do agree that Pearl called the wrong last play against Florida.

Something that I think we don’t get enough respect for are how close losses were. Two were ties in regulation and the other one was by 1 point.
And we were a first string player short in all three.

Interesting, or not, aside. The worst basketball according to basketball people is Nike. They usually rank about 10th when compared to other balls worldwide. #1 is consistently Wilson. The ncaa tournament uses Wilson. Most schools use Wilson, but each picks their own ball, meaning everyone has to practice with the various balls that their opponents use. Some schools use the poorer performing Nike ball due to endorsements.

This could be a tall tale, but it comes from my sports reporter son - all of Auburn's losses and nearly all of their close games have been in games were Nike balls were used.

The tournament will use Wilson.
Edit
Auburn uses Wilson

You gets your advantages wherever you can.

Added to the different types of balls, some teams use older smoother balls and some teams use new.

We've got the talent, but we don't have the consistency - yet.
Saturday will be big at Tennessee.

NC is looking good. Up 23.
Both teams need to run clock and finish before the Auburn game starts.

Done.
N. Carolina 21-8, 3rd ACC - 84, N.C. State 11-18, 15th ACC - 74

Both teams need to run clock and finish before the Auburn game starts.

So far so good. Up by 8, 15:26 2nd.
Cushion for Auburn (3):
Purdue (4) 24-5 - 65, Michigan St 19-9 - 68
Kentucky (6) 23-6, 2nd SEC - 73, Arkansas (18) 23-6, 2nd SEC - 75

Is there bias?
Auburn has 2 losses, both losses were in OT
Gonzaga has 2 losses, both in regulation, 1 against an unranked team that Auburn beat

Gonzaga got 56 1st place votes
Auburn got 4

Auburn's schedule is much tougher - especially our 3 upcoming road games. We may very well have more losses than Gonzaga at the end, but for now, I can't figure how the vote goes 56 to 4

I'm not familiar with most of the teams they play, but I don't see that they've played more than 3 reasonably tough games all season and they lost 2 of those. They have no quality games left on their schedule.

Oh well, there are good playoffs in basketball.
Looks like the voters were correct. Sorry. :(
#7 Duke is beating unranked Syracuse 22-6 early.
Gonzaga (1) 24-2, 1st WCC @St. Mary's (23) 23-6, 2nd WCC at 10:00 PM EST On ESPN, Gonzaga is favored by 11.5
Arizona (2) 25-2, 1st PAC12 D-I @ unranked Colorado 18-10, 5th PAC12 at 8:00 PM EST On ESP2, Arizona is favored by -9.5.

Oh well. That was the worst game we've played all year. So many missed easy, wide open shots and 3 simple uncontested lay-ups.
My favorite, Wendell Green, was something like 2/15. I think we had one 3 point basket.
Oh well, at least Kentucky lost.

Duke (7) 25-4, 1st ACC - 97, Syracuse 15-14 - 72, no surprise. Then, things got crazier than they already were:
Your Auburn (3) lost to Tennessee (17) 62-67.
Gonzaga (1) 24-2 1st WCC - 57, St. Mary's (23) 23-6 2nd WCC - 67
Arizona (2) 25-3, 1st PAC12 - 63, unranked Colorado 19-10 - 79
Kansas (5) 23-5, 1st BIG12 - 70, Baylor (10) 24-5, 2nd BIG12 - 80
Tue, Feb 22: Villanova (8) 21-7, 2nd BIGE - 69, Connecticut (21) 20-7, 3rd BIGE - 71
Texas Tech (9) 22-7 - 66, unranked TCU 18-9 - 69

So, #s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 & 9 all lost. :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: That has to be some sort of record.
Great for Duke  and Baylor :puke-left: , but -0-? what it will mean for Auburn. Good chance the voters will be all over the place.

Plus, Villanova (8) lost on Tues. Also, #s 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 (Wed), 16, 17, 18, 19 & 20 won, all but #15 (Thur). Maybe there will be some switching between the top 9 and the next 11.
