War on Women

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

"50 pairs of the victim’s Nike Air Jordan sneakers" is a lifetime of stomping. I don't approve of violent theft, but I'm happy that neoplacebo plans ahead.

I don't much like it when a stomping is misapplied or is used as a way to just steal something. Just gives righteous stomping a bad name.

That thing about the shoes got me thinking about inventing some special basketball shoes.....the soles are made of that stuff the old Super Balls were made of. These shoes allow you to jump inordinately high; one will have to be careful to not hit one's head on the gym ceiling or breaking both ankles when making your descent.

They tried that, but the players kept running into traffic or getting lost under the couch.

I'm glad that you're a moral and selective stomper. You're a credit to your kind.

Kids in Bristol are hot as a pistol when they do the Bristol Stomp.

Prolly sound really good on neoplacebo's studio-quality speakers, volume up to concert level.

Apparently there's a lot more stomping going on than neoplacebo has told us.

That reached #2 on the 1961 Billboard Hot 100 behind "Runaround Sue" by Dion!

When neoplacebo has a large stomping job he always brings along a boy band to help out.

Not my favorite LZ song, but it's alright. LZ III was not my favorite album of theirs, either.

:o That's a bunch of stomp songs. There's also:
Stomp (jazz), a type of rhythmic jazz tune popular in the 1920s
Stomp Records, a record label now part of Union Label Group
"The label specializes in third wave ska ..."

Yah mon, roll up a spleef an' do some Jah stompin'.

Now we know neoplacebo's roots:
Stomp dance

The stomp dance is performed by various Eastern Woodland tribes and Native American communities in the United States, including the Muscogee, Yuchi, Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Delaware, Miami, Caddo, Tuscarora, Ottawa, Quapaw, Peoria, Shawnee, Seminole, Natchez, and Seneca-Cayuga tribes. Stomp dance communities are active in North Carolina, Oklahoma, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.

Names and etymology

The English term stomp dance refers to the "shuffle and stomp" movements of the dance. In the Muskogee language the dance is called opvnkv haco, which can mean "drunken", "crazy" or "inspirited" dance. This usually refers to the exciting, yet meditative effect the dance and the medicine have on the participants....
 Yep, that's how neoplacebo rolls.

Cherokee Ceremonial Stomp Dance

The Wiki article doesn't mention that the Stomp Dance arose out of lizard infestations. The whole tribe would get together to wipe them out.

Last but not least there's Stomp (theatrical show), a percussive physical theatre troupe

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHkVv9n_x4w

Now that is some creative high quality stomping. The method actors in the troupe pictured the stage being covered with lizards, it got kind of creepy.

Racist. :P

There are longer, somewhat more energetic versions on YT. I grabbed this one because it's short.

I almost got Jerry Lee Lewis to title his "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin On" "Whole Lotta Stompin' Goin On" but he demurred.

I think what's happening there is that those guys came upon that abandoned legless camp oven and it pissed them off so much that they experienced stomp paralysis.

I've seen the Indians' version of Stomp Dance done in person at powwows. It's more of a social dance, but it's pretty to see it done. Takes a long line, more than just 3-4 drunk guys around a bucket. The leader takes the line around and around in a spiral until the line is tightly wound and circling. Then the leader takes them back out to a long line.

So outrageous, and so ridiculous. But to no surprise to anyone, I have questions. If the "minor" is not emancipated to adult status, there seems to be some guardian of some sort? Did they cruelly refuse to sign for her? If so, are they not the real villains here, nevermind how ridiculous it's getting in DeSantistan. In fact, I don't think the legality of abortion in DeSantistan has changed since the Roe reversal, so the issue would seem to be one of guardianship rights rather than specifically abortion per se. Not that I don't think it's the right decision. Actually, I think it would be reasonable to charge the guardian(s) with child abuse for not signing, if that's what happened. But still, it looks like the most evil party is the guardian.
