Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Hell, I've been wondering if anyone else has noticed the plethora of mermaids and fish people there are these days. And the worst part is that even if you manage to corner one, you still have little chance of throttling them.....it's more difficult to get a good hold on them than trying to catch a fish with your hands. Even when you think you got him, you ain't got him.

A lot of tweeters guessed EKG. I was trying to figure out if it was a representational picture of something.

Has anyone mentioned that Trumpettes are really really stupid?

‘Trump Bucks’ promise wealth for MAGA loyalty. Some lose thousands.

Image
An Alabama grandmother said a Bank of America teller told her that she'd seen dozens of people coming in to cash these products.
One teller at one BoA branch - "seen dozens".

Image
Patriots Dynasty, Patriots Future and USA Patriots claim purchasers will be able to cash coins and checks like these in at major banks and retailers like Walmart, Costco and Home Depot.
Maybe they're fundraising for Dems.

“It’s like she’s in a cult."
Ya' think? Comments:
I read this, and I literally can only laugh that people actually buy into this. There are people walking around thinking they can take this to the bank, Costco? Home Depot?!

It’s actual money?

No wonder Republicans try to suppress voters. This is the intellectual level they need to stay viable.
Really showcases the intelligence level of trump's base. The fact someone would buy this is unbelievable and the fact they tried to go to the bank to cash it in expecting some kind of payout is next level unbelievable.
Sad, so very, very, sad. Although I'm not sure which is more sad, that they lost money or that they will actually be able to vote again.

Kinda weird to permanently ink a symbol of inadequacy on one's arm.
Debt ceiling deal reveals the impotence of Donald Trump's MAGA movement

I have bad news for folks who invested in bright red “Make America Great Again” hats and devoted years of their lives to what former President Donald Trump routinely calls “the greatest political movement in the history of our country.”

The MAGA movement, with each passing day, appears smaller and more impotent. It’s loud but ineffective, capable of creating chaos but incapable of success....
 I was going to quote the article's examples of MAGA flops, but there are too many. Opps.

I don't know about criminal investigation, but if there was, this wouldn't affect it. He's up for serious disciplinary action by the Georgia Bar, maybe disbarment, and he just wants to avoid having that on his record by retiring. Can't blame him for the effort, but I'd rather see him tossed than jump.

I guess that ship sailed.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L._Lin_Wo ... aw_License
... Officials with the State Bar of Georgia filed a notice later Wednesday that they are dismissing the disciplinary complaints against Wood.

"By permitting Respondent to transfer to Retired Status and thereby prohibiting Respondent from practicing law in this state or any other state or jurisdiction, the Office of General Counsel believes that it has achieved the goals of disciplinary action, including protecting the public and the integrity of the judicial system and the legal profession," those officials wrote in a court filing shared with CNBC by a spokeswoman for the state bar.
Of course, his retirement had nothing to do with the pending disciplinary action.
Pro-Trump attorney Lin Wood blames satanists in the Georgia Bar for him giving up law license

... "Anyone who suggests that my voluntary retirement from the GA B.A.R. was out of fear of disbarment, does not know me or has not followed me very long on Telegram," he wrote. "My retirement request to the GA B.A.R. was planned and timed in the manner and timing of my choice after much prayer and time spent reading the Holy Bible.

"Through the litigation process, I concluded that the GA B.A.R. was heavily infiltrated and led by Freemasons and other secret society members and its symbols were satanic," Wood added. "I wanted out!!! Light cannot yoke with darkness. So I got out. On terms totally acceptable to me."

May be okay, he's got multiple other legal actions pending.

MAGA Lawyer Lin Wood is Facing a Lawsuit Avalanche
ORDER ORDER
Wood is fighting at least two lawsuits—one from a former ally named QAnon John—and disciplinary measures from legal associations in two states.

More paranoid lunacy described - CIA, "deep state", etc.

Claire McCaskill: Trump treated Sen. Graham like he was dirt under his shoe
... I do believe there are a lot of people, and I've met these people, who travel around the country just to see Donald Trump. It's a little bit like the Grateful Dead for people who are weird.
 Weirder than Deadheads is really saying something!

Former Sen. Claire McCaskill Delivers The Brutal Truth To Lindsey Graham
The former Missouri Democratic senator pulled no punches in summing up how her former colleague is treated by Donald Trump.

Former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) called on Sen. Lindsey Graham to ditch former President Donald Trump after the South Carolina Republican was mercilessly booed during a Trump rally over the weekend and the ex-president only halfheartedly came to his defense.

“I don’t think humiliation is a strong enough word,” McCaskill said on Wednesday’s “Morning Joe” while discussing Graham’s rally appearance in South Carolina on Saturday.

But “the humiliation here is not what the crowd did, it’s what Donald Trump did,” added the former senator, a political analyst for MSNBC and NBC.

Trump treated Graham “like he was a piece of dirt under his shoe,” said McCaskill....

“Lindsey, it’s not working,” she said. “You cannot put aside your convictions and your character to support this man. It will not work.”

“So, Lindsey, find yourself in this moment. Use this as a teaching moment,” McCaskill added.” You need to be Lindsey, not some embarrassing sycophant that is attached yourself like a leech to the side of this man, I would say to the backside of this man.”

It’s “just beyond sad and depressing,” she said.
