Go @1 Broncos (-1.5) > 6 Bills, but I don't hate the Bills.
Wow. Amazing INT. 33-30 OT. First AFC Championship Game for the Broncos since their SB winning year of 2015.
EDIT:
Broncos QB Bo Nix breaks bone in ankle, out for playoffs

... Payton began with "not good news,'' and then said quarterback Bo Nix had fractured his right ankle three plays before Wil Lutz kicked a 23-yard field goal in overtime that gave the Broncos a 33-30 win over the Buffalo Bills in Empower Field at Mile High.

Payton said Nix will have surgery to repair the fracture Tuesday in Birmingham, Ala. It means Nix will miss whatever remains of the Broncos' postseason run and Jarrett Stidham will be the team's starter behind center....
Crap. Jarrett Stidham has not thrown a game pass since 2023.

@1 Seahawks (-7.5 :shock: ) > 6 49ers. I like both, Go Football!
Incredible start, Seahawks.
EDIT, 1:50 - 1st: 17-0. Can the 49ers recover from that?
EDIT, 2:23 - 3rd: 34-6. This is embarrassing. GoLady OGo.
41-6 final. First NFC Championship Game for the Broncos since 2014, one game before O Really's favorite SB. :P

Go @2 Patriots (-3) > 5 Texans, but I don't really like either.
Go winner of the other game.

Go winner of the other game. Sorry, Chicago Dog . . . maybe. I could see not picking a favorite if the Bears are in.

"short"??? It was in the air for 40+ yards.

Here's what I don't like about those high-ego assholes in coaching jobs:
I think it's reasonable for a head coach to bring in much of his own team if they were successful, although we've seen many times that success at one place does not guarantee success at another.

But Harbaugh comes in and in less than a week boots out a guy in the front office that had been there for 25 years. So maybe he wasn't any good, or any good any more, I don't know, but neither does Harbaugh. He could not possibly have evaluated this guy's contribution to the team in the first couple of days.
It was reported Wednesday night that Kevin Abrams, the senior vice president of football operations and strategy, was let go. He’s been with the Giants since 1999 and was a mainstay through a handful of regimes.

According to the Giants, Abrams was responsible for “strategic planning related to football operations, data and innovation, managing the salary cap, negotiating player contracts [and] compliance with the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement.”
Asshole.

Asshole.
-0-? The Giants haven't won the NFC East since 2011, then lost in the wild-card round in 2016 and in the divisional round in 2022. Maybe it's time to get rid of some of the OGs?

Hopeful article:

Jesse Minter was hired to get the Ravens' Lamar Jackson to a Super Bowl — or transition to life after him

We'll see.

Just for fun:

Quirky NFL trivia that could decide Broncos-Patriots, Seahawks-Rams

This will be the time for Chicago Dog's ice outage jinx to come to pass. He's bitter over that OT flop.

3:00 PMCBS/Paramount+
AFC Championship
GO @Broncos (14-3) > (14-3, -3.5)
Spread narrowed a little.
10:19 - 1st: Stidham! Don't need no stinkin' regular season passes.
2:10 - 2nd: UNC! I have slightly divided loyalties.
4:03 - 4th: 4th missed FG in the game.
7-10. My team lost and UNC did not pass well, but he did run well.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gam ... 72986#away
2nd youngest QB to start a SB after Marino. Good on UNC.

6:30 PM FOX
NFC Championship
GO @Seahawks (14-3, -2.5) > Rams (12-5)
Spread widened a little.
2:13 - 3rd: It's a shootout.
:happy-cheerleaderkid:

1-1 today, 8-3 for the Playoffs.

GO Seahawks > Patriots

:D Maybe wait one game.

Matthew Stafford 374 YDS 3 TD 0 INT 127.6 RTG
Sam Darnold 346 YDS 3 TD 0 INT 127.8 RTG

Now that's some QBing! Cumulative doesn't get any better than that.

Early spread: Seahawks -4.5

Naaa, nobody's that valuable if they're also that much of an idiot.
Mistakes happen, and people shove and take swings in the heat of the moment, but that's not this. Sure, if Woolen had picked it off, gone for a score and afterwards had a little dance with trash talk, maybe he could have been overlooked with just a penalty given on kickoff. But no - this was a critical time in the game and his irresponsible act had real consequences and had no justification. Just. Not. Acceptable.

At the very least, I'd leave him home for the Super Bowl.
