Getting the death penalty would be too light a sentence and too kind. Spending the rest of his natural life in the Supermax at Florence, Colorado would be pure hell on Earth. I would hate to be a young man his age (who has experienced freedom and fun-loving times) knowing I was going to spend the rest of my life locked up here:
"Supermax is the highest security prison in the nation; his is a hellish nightmare of a prison that Tsarnaev will be heading for
He would join nearly 500 other inmates in a hopeless existence called “torture” ; his life will be spent in isolation with virtually no human contact.
He will spend 23 hours a day, locked down in his own cell with no other human contact, no communication. He will be let out one hour a day into a caged recreation cell all by himself then he’ll be taken back to his cell.
Tsarnaev would live in a sound-proof cell with an open shower and toilet, controlled by guards. His bed, stool and a desk will be inside the cell. His food would be delivered by guards he’ll never see.
A jury sentenced Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death

(AP) "The defense argued that sparing his life and instead sending him to the federal Supermax prison in Florence, Colorado, would be a harsh punishment and would best allow the bombing victims to move on with their lives without having to read about years of death penalty appeals."

That I agree with. Now he'll get automatic appeals that will drag through the courts for years, and the families will have to deal with this same nightmare over and over......personally though.....for myself I would have preferred the death penalty over Supermax.
